Reviewed yesterday NEW

Had a business meeting nearby and we went here for a drink and a sandwich yesterday. Young man behind bar took our orders for Roast Beef Sandwiches. We went to sit in garden. He came back out to tell us there was no roast beef so we went for the "Ham Salad and Mustard". I have no words to describe...

We booked this for ourselves and friends who were visiting us for the weekend for a one night stay . We used to frequent the fox regularly on a Sunday for lunch as we live quite local . We stopped coming a few years back when ownership changed . We thought we would give it a go reading that it...

my partner and i travelled from Wales to this place in the middle of nowhere to find they were fully booked although we spoke twice on the phone and emailed them when making our booking, we had Paul and Angela as our contacts. We were made to wait 20 minutes until a dreary tired looking Paul came from his room...

Basically a proper country Inn in a lovely rural setting. The food and ales were great, the staff very friendly and helpful...but sadly there were a few minor disappointments which let the place down. As advertised, no phone signal (not a problem), and the wi-fi only worked in the bar (again no real problem, although some visitors would not be...

Good pub for a drink but wouldn't rush back for the food. We were staying local and called in for a drink. Not busy but all ok so decided to go back in evening for dinner. To summarise, it was all very mediocre and probably the reason this big pub/restaurant is not that busy even for a Friday. It all...

Stayed here two years ago and now this village pub is undergoing a full refurb. Nearly completed. New in house chef and good evening meal. Service at breakfast needs some attention. Service to quick and staff not really attentive unlike the evening meal service which was good. Superior room spacious and comfortable. Wifi available but no mobile signal in thus...

Last minute booking made on internet and despite a hiccup on this we were accommodated very quickly and the owner was so helpful at a time of stress for us. This in itself deserves 5 stars -; additionally the room we had was spacious, warm , comfortable and clean. It is great to find such a dog friendly place and...

It’s hard to know where to start with this place. Essentially it’s all here, A pleasant location, a building steeped in history & spacious rooms that although of basic décor are clean, tidy and of relative comfort. The room shape means you are prone to hitting your head if you sleep on the window side of the bed. Whilst this...

Having not been to the Fox for about 10 years, when it had a good reputation for homemade pub food, it was a bit alarming to see it had been given a slick makeover by the Brewery. Quality had defintely been skimped in producing a designers view of an authentic old pub look! The lunchtime menu was extremely limited and...
