Highly recommended B&B for any hotelier or B&B proprietor to see what makes a top class establishment. Instead of the perfunctory welcome afforded in the vast majority of places, the weary traveller is met with a warm smile and led to a delightfully decorated and appointed bedroom and ensure. A jug of fresh milk, a selection of quality tea and... More

We spent two nights here, two of us in Tack Cottage, which was freshly decorated and very clean. The extra touch of milk in the fridge and fresh roses on the window sill was much appreciated. Two friends stayed in a double room in the house, which they also loved. From the welcome from Karen when we arrived, through to... More

We stayed one night while visiting friends in the west country. Our room was pretty and comfortable. However, we would have liked an extra chair in the bedroom. There was plenty of space and this would have avoided one of us having to sit on the edge of the bed when enjoying the tea and coffee left for us. nevertheless,... More

We stayed in the two bed and breakfast rooms, one with views of hills and one with a cosy, snug view of trees. The rooms were extremely well-presented, managing to be plush but not offputtingly posh. Delightful, caring hosts, who pandered to my stomach's fussy request for goats' milk and butter substitute. Location superb: easy to get to and close... More

Comfortable, cosy cottage, friendly owner who was very welcoming, the cottage had all the utilities, free wifi etc, only 3 miles from local village, caters for our dietary requirements (vegetarian and gluten free). Really pretty gardens in front of the cottage.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here and we will continue to go back. A warm welcome from Karen and fresh milk provided for a very welcome cup of coffee. The room was very comfortable and had everything you could need with some additional touches too. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you Karen

Karen, who owns/manages this B&B, is absolutely lovely. The rooms are comfortable, charming, immaculate and stocked with everything a guest might need or want: bottled water, tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, clean towels, TV, Wifi, warm duvets and a bedside clock/alarm. Breakfasts are always delicious and plentiful. I've stayed here several times per year since 2011 when I'm in Dorchester for... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the Field Farmhouse. This has proven to be one of the best B & B's we have stayed in for a long time. The room was exceptionally clean and the owners had thought of everything you might need during your stay. It managed to achieve that home from home feeling immediately,... More

We had a delightful two night stay and would love to return in the not too distant future. We arrived quite late but Karen was very welcoming. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished. We were really impressed with all the thoughtful extras and great en suite. We slept well and a delicious breakfast was served in a bright, sunny... More
