We spent a couple of nights here and loved it! Excellent choice and quality of food. Great base to see the sights around Dorchester and an interesting village, which is well worth a walk around. The accommodation is across the carpark from the inn, but this was not a problem. Rooms are comfortable and well decorated. We were welcomed by... More

We spent three lovely nights at The Greyhound which is set in the heart of a quaint, quiet, picturesque Dorset village. The Inn is charming with a bar, dining area and lounge/ eating room. The staff, Matthew and his team, are friendly and helpful. They remember your favourite 'tipple' and anticipate your needs. Our bedroom, (Brosco) although not large was... More

After staying at large hotels in cities, this was our first lodging in a smaller setting during our trip to England. The rooms are in a separate building from the pub and restaurant. My husband and I had the Maisey Mae room on the first floor, and my sister had the James Brown room on the second. Both rooms were... More

We have been using this pub for several years, and have always enjoyed our visits. However, sadly on this occasion the food was not up to standard. Firstly we waited nearly an hour for our second course. We had two friends from Australia with us who were treating us. Only one of the meals the sea bass was acceptable. The... More

Although we only stayed one night and had to leave in the morning before breakfast was available, this was a perfectly fine place - clean, lovely old building with updated amenities and an associated pub. Very friendly atmosphere.

The thing I enjoyed was the fact you came back to good company and great food. The only negative was our room got really... More

We were heading home from the coast & saw the sign so detoured to investigate & was very glad we did. The food was lovely with pleasant & attentive staff. Interior is oldie worldly, with a cosy atmosphere. If in the area we will stop again. Highly recommend.
