My husband and I and our 3 friends had a great stay at the balmoral, we had unrefurbished rooms and the price reflected favourably, clean rooms, spotless bedding, a warm welcome and nothing was to much trouble, the food was of the standard of a high class restaurant with impeccable presentation, although undergoing renovation at the moment I look forward... This family run hotel is run two of the nicest and kind hearted sisters that I have ever had the fortune to meet. In their own words they have had the fortune to stay and experience to stay in hotels all over the country and the world and wanted to make their own hotel based on the best times they... More

Beware of booking for this hotel via their website. My wife and I booked a double room offering bed, breakfast and evening meal along with free cancellation and free wifi. With the return confirmation email it was stated that the evening meal was not included. My wife contacted the hotel by phone with the owner at first disputing their own... More

The whole experience at this hotel was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this family-run hotel. The waiting staff were just the same, you only had to ask and they would do their very best to deliver. As we were attending an event at the BIC it was ideally situated within a few minutes walk. My... More

Only booked the day before, on arrival welcomed by friendly staff, had one of the refurb rooms with sea view, had three night stay and found nothing to complain about, I know it is looking tired and dated in some places but the service and staff more than make up for it.

We had bed & breakfast ... The breakfast was just perfect (thank you chef) . And we had s very nice stay ... Very central... More

Spent week end there. As much as we appreciate that the rooms were being renovated aredecorate, we were offered an old and ever small room with tatty furniture. The shower cubicle was very small. The facilities did not reflect the price we paid for one night. The next morning were shown the renovated rooms which looked beautiful, I feel customers... More

My wife and I have visited Bournemouth many many times before and recently had to visit Bournemouth again with very little notice. We looked at all the usual hotels that we have previously stayed at and with such short notice they were extortionately priced. We came across the Balmoral Hotel which was very reasonably priced for our two night stay.... More

I've never been so disappointed in a hotel as I am with this one. It is so dated that I've seen more modern care homes for the elderly. This hotel is in need of a full refurbishment to make it up to standard. We were on room 8 and not even the sea view could make up for the shabbiness... More
