The hotel was very clean and freshly decorated. Good central location. No frills but perfect as a base. Easy to park in front of the hotel. Just within easy walking distance of the seafront and town. Reasonably priced.

We stayed last night at the apple wood hotel for a hen do. First impressions: outside is dated, however once through the door the decor is inviting and very stylish. We were greeted at the reception by a lovely lady who welcomed us and gave us the keys. The room was decorated in a similar fashion and very clean and...

Well they have spent a lot of money on the hotel bathrooms, l though there was no where in the shower to put your soap or shampoo. I just wish they had spent some money on the mattress instead, it was just too thin and lumpy for a good nights sleep.

Overall a good stay! Friendly staff. Clean but no frills! Small rooms but reflective of value for money! Disappointed that work is being done whilst guests are staying! Sat eating breakfast whilst tremendous banging was going on overhead as a new bathroom was being installed. Breakfast options are great - full English or the lighter option! Noticed that there is...

Lovely staff, both in reception and at breakfast, which was excellent. Wished we could have stayed longer - only a few minutes walk from the seafront and the town. Rooms and ensuites good with very comfortable beds. Very reasonably priced - we would happily stay here again.

Our ground floor room was basic but very clean. I thought my bed was wonderfully comfy but my mother in law wasn't as happy. The breakfast was very good and the staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. There is parking but its cosy! It is only a 10 minute walk down a rather steep hill to...

Not your usual seaside two hotel. Great welcome at Reception. I must have been lucky as I got a lovely corner room, that was big and so light and airy. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. All in all a great night's stay and I would definitely stay again
