Stayed here as we were attending a family wedding in Bournemouth. Room was fine, a little warm even with the windows open, but the bed was comfy and the shower room was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was a little disappointing on the weekdays, but plentiful at the weekend (full English plus toast, yogurt, cereal etc.). We did hear a bit of... More

I stayed one night stay for a stag do in a two single bedded room. The hotel team were very polite and helpful during the stay and produced an acceptable breakfast. The bed wasn't the most comfy as it was too soft and the springs had probably passed their sell by date. Not a family destination but overall good value... More

What an awful place to stay. I had to be so drunk to fall asleep. The bed sheets are clean, however the bed underneath the sheet is covered in bodily fluids and stains. The bed itself was uncomfortable, as you could feel the springs alternate between your back and your stomach. Then hotel Carpet is from the 70's and 80's... More

I will never stay in this hotel again. We didn't expect much for this price but after being stuck in the elevator for half an hour with our luggage (... nobody cared!!!) we got into a very uncomfortable hotel room. We didn't mind the spots on the wallpaper nor the spots on the carpet but what was most disturbing was... More

The majority of guests were groups of young males on stag dos. Even some of them seemed less than happy with the standard of the rooms. The staff aren't very accommodating or friendly. I had a ground floor room as I'm disabled. The bathroom was tiny, the room was freezing and the quilt was so thin I thought it was... More

My boyfriend and I went here during the summer to get away from everything. The hotel was lovely and quiet and not busy at all. You could leave the hotel whenever you wanted, the staff are very friendly. My boyfriend and I are only 17 we went to the hotel thinking it was going to be really old looking but... More

I stayed at the Maemar hotel for one night and i must say that it was fantastic value for money. The staff are friendly and the room that i stayed in was a decent size. The staff helped me out with any problems that i faced. The location was convenient and i felt completely safe there. Would recommend.

My family and I stayed at the Maemar hotel for 5 nights, and were impressed from the moment we stepped in. The friendly staff along with the warm and extremely cosy atmosphere created an amazingly homely feel. Our rooms were nothing short of great, with comfortable beds, all the necessities, and spotless toilets which made our stay even more value... More
