We stayed here for one night and it was great from start to finish. Check in was easy, the room was lovely, clean and modern and the bathroom was huge ! We also enjoyed an afternoon tea which was very enjoyable, and some drinks at the bar which were very reasonable. Breakfast was also very good and all cooked fresh for you. Staff were very polite and courteous, would definitely recommend and would be my first choice to stay if I was in Bournemouth again.

Treated my daughter to afternoon tea at The Orchid before she left for Uni. What a treat it was - lovely warm scones and a great selection of sandwiches and cakes. Our favourites were the smoked salmon sandwiches and decadent chocolate brownies - Delicious washed down with a cool glass of Prosecco. Thanks to Jenna for looking after us so well. We will definitely return...

Just spend one night at this hotel during my trip to Bournemouth. I booked the deluxe room, the room was so small with old carpet, bed also was very small and uncomfortable. Shower room again was very small. In fact the door was touching the toilet when opening it. Also the room and the hallway had a old carpet smell. Very unpleasant. I am quite disappointed of my stay and will definitely not recommend this hotel.

Thank you leaving your comments regrading the orchid hotel. This does not even sound like the orchid. The deluxe rooms are exactly that and have good sized beds in them which we always get great feedback from. I’m not aware of any issues with rooms in the last few days and have been on duty myself and would have been the first person on hand if there where issues! Very difficult to resolve something that is not reported! Reception are also on hand 24/7 to help! Our carpets have also been cleaned regularly. I’m very sorry that you feel the Orchid was a disappointment and this is not something a take lightly. All feedback is welcomed and we take these comments on board

My husband and I had afternoon tea today at The Orchid. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff and shown to our seats, asked what we wanted to drink and was served very quickly followed by our afternoon tea. We were not given a choice of sandwiches e.g. fillings, white or brown bread, we were given 6 brown bread sandwiches and 2 white, 1 ham, 1 cheese and pickle, 2 salmon and 3 cucumber and what I think was cheese spread. The member of staff that showed us to our seat then left the room, she returned once and asked if all was okay, we asked for more sandwiches as these would not have been our choice, and were told that that was not possible. Another member of staff walked past us on 3 occasions and not once asked if all was okay, he then left and we didn't see anyone for 20minutes. We would have liked more drinks but know one was around to ask. Felt very disappointed by both the service and food, if your not giving your customers a choice of sandwiches at least give them 2 of each filling maybe one on white and one brown, also a greater variety of fillings, not just one meat.

We stayed here for 2 nights and we were so glad we did. Check in and check out was easy. Free parking onsite was plentiful. Location excellent. 5 min walk from the quieter Boscombe beach. We went to Sandbanks the second day (a 15 min drive) and Durdle Door for the last day (1 hour). We stayed in the suite. Our bed was very large and comfy. They put the travel cot and baby hotel sheets ready for our arrival. En-suite was small, but newly done and bath was comfortable. Would of been nice to have a his and hers basins. Nespresso machine was great in the room. Breakfast was very good - the croissants were fresh and slightly warm. The rest of the pastries were not as good. Cooked vegetarian breakfast was nice. Poached eggs perfect. Hash browns were a delight. Just a few minor improvements/suggestions I can offer : - breakfast was very good...but please can the staff/chef taste the vegetarian sausages. They are very dry and do not taste of anything at all. Could offer more options such as smoked salmon. - fruit salad was not sweet and unpleasant- perhaps some mango/watermelon/strawberries would sweeten it up. - more milk and tea (or even fresh milk) in the room. - biscuits were terrible - fridge in the rooms (perhaps to store fresh milk) Excellent hotel. I would stay again.
