Arrived at the hotel to find very limited parking,had requested a cot when booking the room to which I had an email to say the request had been accepted. When arriving we were told the cot was in the room ready, which it wasn’t so had to ask again and wait until the evening for the cot to be provided...

Parked my car next to a brick wall thinking it would be safe there but apparently not, the brick wall fell onto my car from the force of the wind and smashed it up completely putting it on the verges of being written off Called my car insurance so that they would be able to get it repaired for me in which it did but have lost all my no claims and policy increasing by nearly a thousand pounds a year due to being a young driver, my insurance called the third party insurance being the hotels and they wanted NOTHING TO DO WITH IT... Fabulous 2 nights away in the Orchid Hotel with friends.Booked directly with Natalie and booked the afternoon tea. The food was amazing, afternoon tea one of the best we've had and breakfast was plentiful with a great selection of quality ingredients, certainly spoilt for choice... We had room 206 up in the roof and the bathroom was top rate, loved the freestanding bath along with separate shower and Jack and gill basins!... Lovely coffee machine and extra pods were available at reception along with more tea bags etc...

We had a few drinks in the bar before going out for dinner and the staff were so chatty and friendly, the bar is really nice to sit in, warm and inviting... Breakfast is served from 8-10.30am with lots of options, not just a full English, all made to order, tasty and fresh... We couldn’t fault The Orchid at all, we could even leave our car there once we had checked out as we wanted to go down to the beach which was only 5 mins walk away... We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting Bournemouth, it’s a small, friendly and inviting hotel with staff to compliment it, the owners should be proud...

We have stayed at the Orchid a few times now, Each time we are made very welcome by the friendly accommodating staff, nothing is too much. Comfortable, clean and well kept rooms... Breakfast and bar facilities are very comfortable with more than enough, good cooked food... Highly recommend a visit and hotel is short walk to the beach and shops...

Stayed with my girlfriend with the view over the beautiful comfy garden area which we loved, we had lovely walks to cliff each evening just 5 minutes from The Orchid Hotel. We really enjoyed tasty breakfast and chatting with their friendly staff... Mattress were incredibly comfortable, we we will be definitely returning back, thanks Orchid for our romantic stay!...
