I spent 5 nights on my own at The Whitehall in August. I chose it for its location, which is excellent, 5 mins to beach and the same to the town. It is small with 50 something rooms. It's a little old fashioned with its chintzy curtains and dated bedroom furniture. The rooms however (3 nights in a single and 1... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a night on the last weekend of August 2016 and weren't very impressed. On arrival we were given our room key and told our room was ready but the maintenance guy was fixing a broken lamp in the room. We got up to our room to find his work tools spread... More

I stayed here while travelling on my own in mid July 2016. I agree with the comments saying the hotel is very old-fashioned, but by no means is that a bad thing. This isn't the place to stay if you are looking for a modern luxury hotel, but it is the place to choose if you want a comfortable stay.... More

Stayed at the Whitehall Hotel with my son for two nights in mid-August, a last minute find through booking.com The hotel is in a great location in a small crescent, just off the Exeter Road and overlooking Bournemouth's lower gardens, so lovely views at the rear of the hotel. Handy for the town centre and the lovely beach. We got... More

Just above the pier, around the corner from the BIC and five minutes walk from the Square, this is a great location. I paid £163 for a single room for three nights (Friday-Sunday) which included a cooked breakfast. The room was fine for my purposes, a reasonable amount of space and storage areas. Bathroom included a shower, which worked fine.... More

Looking for a one night stay between a round trip to Bournemouth and return, I checked availability on booking.com, although I have stayed in a number of Hotels in the area, I have never tried one in such a central location. I chose the Whitehall on the basis of; location and price. I booked in late afternoon and initial reaction... More

We stayed here 5 nights in July for the Summer Dance Festival. It was our 4th or 5th time (we lost count!), and we found it as pleasant as before. Fantastic location - BIC, town centre, beach and park are only a few steps away. Cleanliness is excellent, the staff are helpful and friendly (although the international students working in... More

A very pleasant stay. Hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very pleasant. Ideal location for a dog owner. There are some good places to walk nearby. Also a plus are the gardens at the rear of the hotel, very handy for a quick walk before breakfast. I will certainly book again.
