As usual this hotel came up to all expectations. Not grand or flashy modern - just home comforts. That's why people keep going back to the Whitehall or its sister hotel the Arlington. Good comfy bed especially if you have back issues. Lift and stairs to all rooms. Good choice of breakfast cereals juices and select of cooked food. Tea...

Great location & very well maintained hotel. Extremely friendly & would definitely stay again. Rooms are good size & very well presented & clean. The cook breakfast is very tasty. We even got an Easter egg each as staying Easter Saturday! We were down to see Ken Dodd @ the Pavilion which is literally a short walk away. Well done...

Party of 40 spent three nights in hotel. Food excellent together with the service. Rooms bright airy and clean some with nice views over the park and the rest of the hotel is well presented plus a quirky Edwardian lift to all floors. Staff very helpful and efficient. Would recommend to any other bowls club.l

My husband and I were booked in here for one night whilst we went to the BIC for a concert. We got to the hotel and after we managed to park in the tiny car park that is extremely difficult to maneuverer in we went inside. As soon as we walked in the smell was over powering. The staff were...

We are really disappointed by this review, and we only wish you had made us aware of the problem at the time. Our location is incredibly convenient for the BIC, and we often have people returning to stay for one night when attending concerts, as well as families on holiday.

I was entertaining a Masons lodge function. During my set up for the evening gig I found the staff very helpful and flexible. All the staff bent over backwards to make sure the evenings events went smoothly. Very friendly indeed. Well done everyone.

Another excellent stay at the Whitehall for myself and my sister. Dawn and reception staff very helpful. Rooms always cleaned every day to an excellent standard. The housekeeper was very helpful in that I had trouble with my tv and could not get channels 10 (ITV3) or 20 (Drama) which I watch a lot. In the end we decided it...

Overlapped with a Devon Ladies Bowls Tour. This did not affect our stay at all. The staff gave us full attention , the menu offered a good choice and the food was very good. The wine list sensibly priced. The room was very comfortable. We had a very enjoyable break and would, from our experience, return to the Whitehall on...
