Very well situated on Bournemouth Beach front. Room was large, well appointed apart from the small TV. Very clean, had all amenities. Staff were very polite and helpful, food was good and service probably a little to attentive. It was a little noisy especially as its next to a park and loud music going until 2am. Room was really warm... More

We stayed for two nights and won't be back. Upon arrival we were told that it was policy to take money for our stay and no wonder, because one look at the place and we were ready to leave. While the staff seemed friendly enough and the rooms tidy, it was quite clear that this so called four star hotel... More

We stayed for 6 nights in mid-september, having visited several times for coffee/lunch etc. while visiting Bournemouth and deciding on a longer stay. There were few options available at time of booking so we had to settle for a standard double room. On arrival the receptionist, Marie, tried to find an upgrade for us, which we hadn't asked for, but... More

My wife and I and two friends stayed at The Hermitage Hotel for a long weekend and to attend a show at the BIC. We have stayed there many times over the last 14 years or so and continue to recommend it. The staff are very friendly and the service, food presentation are second to none. The only comment I... I stayed at the Hermitage for one night as a last minute booking to attend a business meeting. I booked a single room on the third floor facing inland (you pay more for a sea view). Out of school holidays, it seemed to attract an older clientele and was very quiet / peaceful. Plus points - central location, free onsite... More

Close to the beach, convenient for the town centre and very comfortable. Staff so helpful . Compact rooms are a bit small , we upgraded to a superior which is well worth the extra expense but we did get this kindly done for nowt. Also the double beds are a standard size so larger couples may want a king size... More

We have been guests here on a number of occasions and never fail to be impressed by the evident care expended on a traditional hotel to ensure the comfort of its visitors. This is not just a matter of regular repainting and renewal (the hotel is always stick and span) but in responding to guests' comments. A card in our... More

After visiting The Hermitage Hotel for the past 10 years. I was excited to book a weekend as a surprise for my husband. We've just celebrated our wedding anniversary and his birthday. So my treat. After a couple of emails to Birgit. I'd got a beautiful superior sea view room. It was lovely and easy to book. A day before... More
