Very well situated hotel near the pier. Very good standard with excellent breakfast. Bournemouth has plenty of attractions to offer and has a great sandy beach. If you like live music try the 1812 bar on a Friday or Saturday evening - bands start at 10pm.

Just spent four nights at this four star hotel. Location is excellent and free parking in central Bournemouth is a real plus. Room was spacey but very hot and poorly ventilated, bathroom basic with nowhere to put things. WC flush was a little dodgy too. Staff were very pleasant but many were clearly inexperienced and in need of more training... More

Decent hotel, perfect location, nice staff, ideal or couples - but best avoided if you have young children. This hotel only has one decent room for a family with a young child. One arrival we were given room 601 (avoid!), which is tucked out of the way, dark, musty and has mould on the walls. We didn't feel part of... More

Went to this hotel this past weekend. Hotel was nice and staff were nice. Hotel was rated as a five star hotel, this is not a five star, more like a three star. When we arrived and checked in, my husband asked that the hotel had air conditioning and they said no. I was like OMG. This was a warm... More

We stayed here for 6 nights and It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The decor although not modern was very classic for this style of hotel. The bed was just right and we had a good nights sleep every night. The food was superb. Breakfast was the traditional help yourself and everything was of the best... More

We had an excellent stay at The Hermitage, everything was very satisfactory. Excellent service all round, and very pleasant staff, which goes a long way. Would have no hesitation in returning here and look forward to it.

We stayed here for two nights. We were going to eat one night in the hotel but was very disappointed with the menu. The breakfast however was very good in a buffet style. The room (210) was a Deluxe double and it really was a double bed. Shame that the hotel cannot provide king size beds and move little into the... I recently stayed three nights at this fantastic hotel. Everything about it was superb. The prices are reasonable, the location could not be better and the staff service was second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff employed at this hotel, their attitude to service is certainly to be commended. The hotel is spotlessly clean,... More

Traditional seaside hotel in good shape and super convenient for the convention centre. Single room was fine but inevitably a little cramped. wifi worked and hotel happily accepted voucher for newspaper. Breakfast buffet just OK, poor fresh fruit offering but proper coffee available on request.
