Firstly- fantastic location. This cannot be argued. Worth paying for sea view otherwise not worthwhile staying at this hotel as all about the location. Everything else was fairly disappointing. Dated bathroom, average breakfast. Everything felt a bit tatty and in need of refreshment. Overall a massive shame that this place is so average as it's in such a lovely spot....

Dear jburts, Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay with us. We are truly lucky to have a wonderful iconic building and location. Our owners agree the hotel needs reinvention and have agreed to fund a full renovation beginning in March with our outlets and lobby area. By late quarter one of 2018 all areas will have being...

Well let's put those TLC comments to bed We have just enjoyed a great 5 nights on dinner, bed and breakfast for £149/night including complimentary parking complete with glorious sea view in a deluxe room. Yes the Marriott could do with an upgrade but a major part of a review should be about value for money and the 4* highcliffe...

I stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend. The hotel is in the best location with great views over the sea, and walking distance from the shops and the beach/pier. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated but have everything you need and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We slept very well both...

I rated here for a week for work. It's a great hotel with excellent food and amazing view. Close to many restaurants! Ocean view! Old world charm and excellent service. The Grill serves very good food as well.

Hard to find anything bad about the hote. Room with sea view was great, very good service, very good amenities. Would have been nice to have bath robes. Shot scenic walk to town centre and a few minute from the beach (immediately below the hotel).

We were staying at another 4 star hotel in Bournemouth (The Hermitage) and as the weather was good thought we would stay an extra night. However they were fully booked so we decided to stay at a similar star hotel rather than go home. The Marriott has a good position, on the cliff overlooking the sea and is a short...

Highcliff Marriott offers comfort, good food and service. The property is old and has a quirky charm, bedrooms come in a variety of sizes and sometimes with an extra walk involved, however the staff do deliver a friendly and professional service and are there to assist the guest. The hotel car park has limited spaces, and should be booked in...

On arrival we found the car park entrance blocked by a crane with a sign directing us back up the road. We eventually established the entrance was now via the exit, although another sign did appear later. The hotel was largely surrounded by scaffolding to facilitate external improvement works. The car park, although quite large, was very full and double...

Disappointed is the best description of our stay. For the money I expected more from a Marriott. The building looks impressive although the scaffolding is an eye sore. Parking is terrible. A free for all. The reception area is promising and the welcome satisfactory. Directions to the room (out the side door and through the car park rather than the...
