We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The tribute act was really good she had a fantastic voice - although she had to finish before 10 due to the Covid restrictions. We had an excellent stay the service, reception staff & bar staff & waiters were all extremely good as was the food amazing too. We could not fault anything. We will be returning.

I was behind the eight ball as the initial hotel I booked was a lemon, but I was made welcome enough at the Cumberland at the last minute and liked the decor, design and colors of the lounges. It was a busy evening and the staff were rushing around but didn’t seem overwhelmed. All polite, service orientated, clean and friendly. Nice bedroom, a good view of the English Channel which was like from a magazine and all the amenities present. It wasn’t high end luxury, but acceptable and good bang for your buck. The appetisers, entrees and desserts all looked ok on the restaurant menu, but as we had little time we took room service which was fine. Breakfast was ok too, lots of fresh, strong, hot coffee from pleasant servers. I would stay again if I was passing through.

Stayed for two nights. The staff were fantastic, the food was great especially when we upgraded ourselves on the second night to the cafe, where it was an amazing meal of scallops, mussels and locally made ice cream; my wife having triple goats cheese, duck and sticky toffee pudding. People next to us were having oysters! The large room overlooking the sea had a large terrace. Extremely comfortable. Sadly weather not good enough to enjoy sitting outside. When you look closely the hotel needs a some work and a bit tired in places, but for the value, amazing staff, food, location and great atmosphere (in the cocktail lounge) all can be forgiven. We will be back!

Fabulous reception by a friendly team that made me feel special and wanted. Lovely large rooms and amazing restaurant. Everywhere was clean and sanitary, there was a real emphasis on you as the customer and keeping you as safe as possible at all times. Close to town and a wonderful view.

We stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary Check was quick and friendly I had tried to book a table a few weeks before but it was full shame as we had booked elsewhere When we checked in we were asked if we would like a table and explained that it said you were fully booked Shame as we would have liked a table In the restaurant Staff friendly and polite Shame about other guests loud for most of the night banging and doors slamming Didn’t sleep much at all Would we come again Not sure
