After our holiday to Turkey got cancelled we decided to take a little break in the uk. Having not been to Bournemouth we decided to visit. We booked this hotel and after booking read some not very good reviews. Upon arrival we were now a little worried, there was no need to be. We were greeted by wonderful ladies on the front desk who were very warm and welcoming though out our 3 night stay. Our family room was very spacious we were on the 2nd floor. The only downside was our room was very hot thankfully the hotel supplied fans. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night, the food was tasty and beautiful presented. Breakfast was simple but due to current restrictions was more than adequate. The pool was clean and the spa was a beautiful place to relax. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every member of staff was amazing, they took time to know the guests and were always helpful happy and a pleasure to meet. Whilst the hotel has a few flaws nothing major just for the staff alone I would revisit.

We stayed in no 89, massive crakes under window wide chips out of walls, chips in bath tilling not finished in bathroom and mouldy walls, room smelt musky, breakfast re heated and over cooked not nice was promise money back for our stay for breakfast by the manager for our stay 3 days but never received and only had 1 morning and went to a cafe she recommended for the other 2 so very expensive paying twice for breakfast would not stay again only stayed as we surprised friends there and did not want to cause to much fuss by going else where

Terrible shower in room 80, not possible to have a proper shower , no power hardly, the lift was broken when we stayed so it was a big trek up lots of stairs to our room, I paid to use the spa area and aromatherapy room was rubbish but the pool and steam room was nice , bar area was nice and the garden , the room was quite dated which wasn’t great but I didn’t expect anything to fancy , I’d of liked a decent shower though

I hadn’t realised I booked this hotel, I thought I had booked the High Cliff. When I realised I had booked the wrong hotel I went on the reviews, and they weren’t the best and I was a bit apprehensive but...I thought the West Cliff was outstanding, welcoming staff, clean, lovely decor, warm atmosphere, great amenities and great location. The only thing that makes me give it 1 star less is the bed, it was so hard, we woke up after both nights aching and so tired from so little sleep. Also, the chocolate brownie at dinner could of done with 10 seconds in the microwave :) Apart from that, thank you for a lovely stay x
