Fantastic value for an overnight stay in Bournemouth to go to a show at the BIC. Would recommend this hotel for proximity to the venue, town and beach. Good sized bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Plenty of parking. Generous buffet style breakfast. Many thanks!

Stayed here for 2 nights midweek for a very reasonable price. On the negative side the hotel really needs a big refurbishment programme. The reception area and bar/lounge areas are not too bad but the dining room/bedrooms and leisure centre really could do with a bit of tlc. However we found the staff very friendly/helpful. The food was very good...

We recently stayed at this hotel for a 2 night groupon deal with 1 evening meal and breakfast both days! Check in friendly and we had been given an upgrade which is always nice to hear! Massive room - ok slightly dated decor but clean and comfortable what more could you want! Large bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle!...

The staff all very friendly and polite. Food good. Hotel clean but however a little tired. Good size swimming pool, with wonderful leisure staff. However, shame it did not open untill 8AM weekends and towels provided could be a little bigger.

Nice looking bar, staff at the restaurant were very professional, it's a shame the meals were not the same. My husband had, what I would call a dried up pork chop which had been overlooked and warmed up along with potatoe wedges. I had gammon which was very dry. We suffered the next two days with indegeston.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a three night break. It was a cheap deal and we were pleased to have secured what we thought was a good deal when we booked. We are regular visitors to the Bournemouth and Poole area, and have regular hotels that we stay in. We thought we would try something new, and having...

This hotel is in need of a refurb. The corridors etc are very shabby. We upgraded our room, which was large, warm and relatively clean, but very dated. The restaurant, reception and toilets were not very well heated. The main (automatic) doors to the hotel were broken and had to be prised open. We ate dinner in the hotel and...

Excellent location. Hotel could do with a little updating but it was a great stay - would visit again. Staff were friendly, room was clean. Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the standard of food.

Just returned from a 'get away from it all' weekend in Bournemouth. This was our first visit to the Wessex Hotel, but it won't be our last! I bought a deal on Groupon and it turned out to be fantastic! I had the option to upgrade to a Premiun room for just £20 per night and it was definitely worth...

I was looking for a hotel that was doggie friendly and this certainly fits the bill. Just a short walk to a good sized clifftop park and from there easy access down over to the beach. For those who are looking for a similar break, the park and access to the beach is down the lane right opposite the hotel...
