We recently spent four days at this hotel and I have to say that we found the food was totally disgusting. It was tasteless and obviously of the cheapest quality. The hotel itself is old and not that suitable for anyone with a disability due to the number of steps in most locations. I would not return if I was... More

In a town with more than it's fair share of poor hotels The Royal Bath stands out as one of Bournemouth's worst. The reason is the price. Most other hotels in the area, when presenting such a drab offering charge £50 or £60, and you get what you pay for. The Royal Bath charges premium prices and as a result... More

Could not fault this hotel at all. Stayed for a romantic weekend with my boyfriend and it was perfect from start to finish. The room was clean and tidy, with good quality furniture (and an extremely comfortable bed!) The food was acceptable, high quality but could possibly do with more variety of dishes, especially at breakfast. There is a lovely... More

The setting is superb, so are the gardens. Indeed the downstairs sitting areas etc are also well appointed. Another excellent feature -- most of the staff are kind, helpful and trying very very hard to please and to do their best. But some appear lost, unsure what is expected of them, not used to working together and poorly trained. English... More

I was very disappointed in this hotel. Obviously grand in days gone by but the decor and furnishings in the rooms needed upgrading. The carpets in places were threadbare. Breakfasts were disappointing. Dont try the TEA its awful! I tried to get a fruit tea both mornings as the normal tea was undrinkable (I wasnt the only one who thought... More

Reception Desk Staff were excellent, especially the new guy, Nelson.........I came to cancel my Booking.com reservation based on reading what I now realise was a lot of nonsense from other contributors.
Nelson gently asked me to think about reconsidering and proceeded to give me a couple of options to consider. So glad I did just that . I stayed three... More

For the money we paid we really expected alot more than we got. The hotel looks very grand from the outside and is clean and tidy inside, but it is certainly not a posh place. There is no assistance with luggage, no room service and bars were either not operating or closed very early. The room we were given was... More

I was anticipating a small room given I'd booked a single via LastMinute.Com (£62 room only) and in fairness I got a very small double, however my hope of possibly having a sea view was dashed when I had a room with no window at all; an internal room (come cell!) accessed via twisting turning rabbit warren of corridors which...
