We stayed as part of a family group and found the Mayfair to be very welcoming. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, especially the waiting staff. The service was fast and the meals were delicious.

My husband and I stayed here for a 6 days coach holiday with Ellen Smiths. We had a lovely large room. The food was very good with choices for each course. Staff were very friendly and helpful and efficient. There was entertainment a couple of nights but we went out to the pub after evening meal. There is a Weatherspoons... More

I stayed there with a group of retired people. It was an old fashioned hotel, many floors and stairs, and only one small lift. It was not ideal for big groups. But, the food was very, very good and the people working there were also very nice and helpful. It was a short way to the beach an the town... More

Booked to stay at this hotel overnight for a gig we were going to , we paid a reasonable price though breakfast was not included but could be added . We arrived ahead of booking in time but was greeted warmly by a member of the hotel who kindly allowed us to park and wait in hotel lounge . We... More

7 nights were spent at this hotel, which was the base for our bowls tour. We drove down and arrived early. When we announced who we were the friendly receptionist did not flinch and went to see if our room was ready. Yes it was. We were on the second floor and had to move our cases in a very... More

This was the Presidents Bowls Club Tour and we spent 7 days at this hotel. My first experience was being offered a double bed, when we asked for singles. The manager intervened & managed to find a spare family room with two bedrooms, which was the start of a wonderful week. I must say that the food on offer was... More

I don't like leaving bad review but do not feel I have a choice about this hotel. Completely unfriendly, no atmosphere, outdated rooms and rude management staff just a few of the things. On top of that scalding hot water - on lowest setting, falling apart furniture and really hot rooms. I travel a lot with work and have stayed... More

Visited The Mayfair Hotel on Sunday, 28th August, for Sunday Lunch. There were 8 people in our party and we all enjoyed the Lunch. The choices were good and the price was reasonable - £15 for four courses.
