Just went in for coffees on a cold February day. Warm, very friendly indeed, bar had a good buzz, good coffee for £2 each! Will visit again and would definitely recommend. I can't review hotel as we only visited the bar.

One night at short notice in totnes. As other reviewers have said room is noisy. Single glazed and right next to main road. We were there in feb so not too bad - but would be very noisy in summer. Bin loonies turn up at 6am. No breakfast provided either. No parking either so could be hard to find a...

We booked online and prepaid in full. On arrival we were taken to a room on first floor at the front over looking the high street. The heating was off. We had to ask for the heating to be turned on. There were three large windows which were not double glazed. We were kept awake at night by the noise...

Room was perfectly comfortable however slightly tired ,with badly finished blinds and oddly for a pub no glass for your tooth brush . Tea and coffee where plentiful ,beds very comfortable and all very clean . Room no 2 is very close to the main road and has no double glazing so people walking past sound like they are in...

Nice pub, friendly staff and comfy bed with quality bed linen. However, room was in need of redecoration & DIY attention. No noise from pub itself however, lots of noise from slamming doors inside and people outside late night and early morning made sleep difficult.

The hotel has a good location right in the heart of the town. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, although the room was a little cramped. The bathroom was clean but a little dated. The toilet use a macerator which went of at loud volume throughout the night. The hotels provided ear plugs in the room and it...

Visited here on a cold day after a trip up the river from Dartmouth. We stumbled upon the King William while looking for a dog friendly place for lunch. So glad we did. Biscuits and water was brought for the dog and great food for us.

Hi we had just had a walk around Totnes, and popped in to the King William for something to eat. We had a very warm welcome on entering and got shown to a table for 2. We ordered a fruit juice and looked at the menu and decided to have the pork sandwich with a side of roast potatoes with...

Having walked out of a famous hotel in Totnes at lunchtime because of indifferent and inefficient service, it was a pleasure to walk into the King William and be immediately greeted and welcomed! The food was good too - for me, one of the best veggie burgers around. Thank you!

We had the pleasure of discovering this lovely, dog friendly hotel, on our first trip to Totnes today, 11th October, 2016. We were greeted by very friendly staff that could not do enough for us, and were ushered to a lovely table by a radiator, which was greatly appreciated as it was cold and wet outside. The menu offered a...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I'm really pleased that you were made so welcome. Being a non meat eater myself I appreciate the choice of veggie options on a menu, so I'm glad that you liked our choices. Look forward to seeing you again on your next visit.
