We felt welcome from the minute we arrived. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and was cleaned every day while we were there. We had a lovely full English breakfast cooked every morning by Norman, who was a brilliant host. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone. Great

Stayed here for 3 nights. Extremely pleasant host and room was good size with ensuite (room 2) and complementary tea/coffee in room. Decor is dated but in keeping with the building.breakfast was ok, with plenty of cereals, yoghurt, juice available along with full English breakfast.also the owner very kindly gave us a lift to the station, a great help. It is a relatively poorly maintain hotel, e.g. window shutter was not working, drawer was broken, stain in the toilet. Furthermore, the so called fully equipped kitchen was misleading, there wasn't any kind of utensil at all that you can't even make your coffee. However, the room is big and quiet.

Very nice stay, room was a good size with an ensuite. Generous breakfast. Nena and Norman were very friendly hosts. The only negative point was that breakfast was only served until 9am. Would most definitely return, but maybe not have 14 fried breakfasts on the trot :)

After reading the good reviews we decided to book two nights to take in the local area before moving on to Cornwall. My initial thoughts were good, the hotel looked clean on the outside and there was plenty of room to park. Access was through a side door, as I entered there was a somewhat musty smell to the reception... More

Only stayed the one night on this occasion as the wife and I move our son into the area. Very pleasant stay with extremely helpful host, the room was immaculately clean and well furnished. With the sea front just a 10 min walk away and a further 5 to the town centre my wife and i found it to be... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, Only booked a single but got upgraded free to a family room, Nice surprise. Room very large with a single and double bed and very quiet. Not being fussy I only used the single bed as it was only somewhere to sleep whilst visiting family nearby. Only slight downside was the décor although dated with... More

My partner and I decided that we needed a weekend away and chose Torquay. Found this hotel and was very happy about the price (only £160 for 3 nights!) The owners were brilliant and on New Years Day we found that we were slightly poorly (unsurprisingly alcohol related) and no where was open to get some food. After going to... More

My sister and I stayed here for a one night stay last week. Our room was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the owners seemed nice and friendly. The town and sea front are a short walk away. If looking for a good value place to stay in Torquay I would recommend here.
