Stayed in the Abbey Court hotel on Saturday with 2 mates. When we got there I realised I had booked a triple room for 2 persons. The lady on the reception was extremely helpful and sorted the problem immediately. The room she arranged us to stay in was superb with a fantastic view of Torquay. She was provided me with... More

Stayed in room 29, very comfortable with lovely view of the swimming pool and across the bay. Staff were friendly and helpful especially to older guests. The quirky shower was interesting! Bath water temperature was always nice which I have not always found in other hotels. Food was delicious, well prepared and served nice and hot. Good variety and choices... More

We visited for the weekend, the hotel is old and the decor is outdated, the floors are creaky. There is only 1 serving for breakfast at 830am, this info is not shared with guests. We were situated in room 71 and outside the window there is a shutter they open for car access, extremely loud especially at 1.15am. It is... More

Dear Guest, I read your review with interest; but we neither have a room 71 nor a shutter outside our windows for any car access. Furthermore, we are located off the Belgrave Road, on Falkland Road which in fact is very quiet. We have a drive in the front garden facilitating the car parking guests. In addition, we are in... Travelled with Leisuretime holidays from 15th to 19th of August 2016.A shuttle service picked us up locally at 08:30 to rendezvous with the main coach at Newport ( after several more pick up points), which then journeyed to Torquay (via a two hour stopover in Weston). It was almost 3pm when we arrived at the Abbey Court!!!!. Thus far it... More

Dear Guest, I thank you for taking time to review your stay at the Abbey Court. Yes, I have to agree with you there is this huge imbalance in the guest expectations & what the hotel industry currently is able to command towards the true cost in Torquay. Clearly, you have reflected on this subject and I am grateful for... More
