We got a last minute deal for a week, where the children went for free! We went with no great expectations, thinking we'd give it a go and have a bit of fun together as a family. It turned out to be a brilliant place. The staff were always enthusiastic, encouraging and never seemed grumpy - despite the weather! The... More

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. On arrival we had a lovely personal welcome with one of the team who went through everything we would need to know during the week, showed us around the site and then to our room. We had a lovely range of activities on our schedule and even though we were not put with... More

Just come back from an amazing fun time with the family ...kids 14 and 16. Met loads of amazing people and the pgl instructors are incredible. It rained and was dull most of the week but we carried on doing all the activities provided. The rooms in the hall are basic ours was too small for 4 of us with... More

Went with my husband and kids (8 and 13) to PGL at Barton Hall for 4 nights and loved it. You are placed in a group of up to 12 people and given a schedule of activities plus some 'flexitime' which are free sessions in which you can swim, watch a movie or go into Torquay, which is lovely. The staff... More

Barton Hall was really well placed for visiting tourist attractions round South Devon. The accommodation and food were as other customers had accurately reviewed - plentiful school canteen type food and the rooms were basic. My bathroom was at least tiled and had a bath mat (children's bathroom had neither) but did have the dreaded "pube ball" in the shower... More

Having just returned from a week on a PGL activity family holiday, it was fantastic and very enjoyable my wife and 6 year old went as short notice frustrated by school holiday prices we found this adventure online. What an adventure, I was worried that my six year old would not be able to do anything but he could do... More

Visited here for a netball weekend. The setting is beautiful, rolling countryside, amazing views and a lovely building. However I was in accommodation outside this building (which I didn't mind as it was quiet). Sadly to room was dated and tired and needs a revamp. There is no shower and the bathroom and very old, with a leaking toilet that... More

The PGL site at Barton Hall is in a beautiful location. Barton Hall its self is located on a hill and looks down across to Torquay with stunning views. The accommodation consists of chalets and also large rooms in the house. The accommodation is basic however immaculately clean with nice touches such as tea and coffee making facilities, and a... I am 8 years old and I have just spent a week at Barton hall with my family. The activities are great fun and they let all ages go together. You're in groups of 12 but if you come together as a family of 12, like we did, then you can stay together. Every day, except for one, you will... More

Last week I took the kids (11 & 18) on a PGL holiday to Barton Hall, in Devon. It was fantastic, we had SUCH a great time, I felt like I was on a school trip with the 2 of them, brilliant opportunity for the 3 of us to really spend some quality time together. (Hubby couldn't have any more... More
