Craig and Ian were the perfect hosts - Craig gave us a wonderful welcome in the stunning drawing room, with cup of tea to accompany welcome information, including thoughtful restaurant suggestions and local map. Premiere room was fab - superking bed with fabulous decor, felt fab relaxing in the gown and slippers with a nice cup of hot chocolate from... More

This was our first visit to the Marstan Hotel and we were very impressed. On arrival we received a warm, friendly welcome from Craig (one of the owners) and a nice cup of tea! He advised us about the hotel and local places of interest that we might like to visit in the area. The compact double room was very... More

Ian and Craig are exceptionally hospitable hosts. Very relaxing stay, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Super breakfasts. The hotel is in the best, quieter, part of Torquay, close to Meadfoot Beach and within walking distance of several good restaurants close to the Harbour, although it is quite a steep hill to walk back up. Highly recommended.

We have just returned home from a fantastic 3 night stay at The Marstan Guesthouse in Torquay. We stayed in the stunning "Four Poster Bed" room which I would highly recommend. The guesthouse is run by Ian and Craig who made us feel at home instantly upon arrival and throughout our stay. The guest house is in an ideal quiet... More

We stayed here in April. First off Would I go back to Torquay... No! I am sure there are way more beautiful places in Devon to visit! B and B staff couldn't be nicer and that's what you want, but I did find it a bit expensive for what It was, smallish rooms and oldey worldy. Worthy of 5 star... More

Thank you for your positive comments regarding the service and breakfast. However, we do not agree with the rest of this review. All of our bedrooms have been totally refurbished within the last 2 years. This includes total replastering and painting, rewiring, modern televisions and contemporary bathrooms. The last two rooms were completed in June. We note the review was... More

Very polite staff, good verity of breakfasts, the guest house was very dclean and oldiworldy some of the bedrooms were being updated. We were close to town with a few restaurants and pubs. Then we took a walk down to the beach which was a five minute walk from our accommodation. A little hilly so anyone with walking difficulty not... More
