Lovely to return to the Charterhouse. Marion and Les are excellent hosts.full breakfast is self serve, with many breads and marmalade that are home made. You feel as though you are home, everyone is so friendly. The location is ideal for cockington village, and Torquay town centre.what I do is leave the car in the car park, and use public transport.if you come out... More

Returned to this fantastic B&B over the Bank Holiday weekend with more of my family. Booked three rooms this time. Superior for my mother, which was lovely and light and had a super view. Perfect for her. Also booked the Riviera room for my brother and his wife. This is a gorgeous large room which wonderful views of the sea... More

Lovely B&B in a great location, walking distance to both Torquay town centre and Cockington village. Marion and Les are so lovely, they made us feel at home and took good care of us, giving us great tips on places to visit and restaurants. We loved the breakfast in the morning, great way to start the day!

Marion and Les are brilliant hosts, warm and welcoming without being intrusive, with a vast knowledge of the area should you need advice. The B&B is spotlessly clean, airy, with comfortable beds and a well stocked hospitality tray replenished daily. The breakfast offered here knocks spots of any other B&B we have ever stayed in homemade bread jams and marmalades are on offer every... More

Stayed in the garden room for a weekend with family (2 adults, 2 kids and 1 large dog) and thought the place was really fantastic. We were made very, very welcome by Marion and Les who run the place and were warm and helpful with local information. The location is lovely, the facility is great and the breakfast nothing short... Lovely comfy bed, fluffy towels, good hostess tray and welcome bar of chocolate, huge array of breakfast foods from fresh fruit including superb strawberries to full English with fantastic home made bread and conserves. Friendly and informative hosts, close to sea, country walks and bus route or short walk into Torquay.

Hubby and I have just stayed at the Charterhouse for two nights in the superior room. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well cared for. There were lovely fluffy robes which sadly we didn’t get to chill out in and other room extras such as a mini chocolate bar on arrival and luxury biscuits with the tea/coffee tray... More

Have just stayed at the charter house for three nights in the family suite. With a friend we thought we would have to book two separate rooms, but Marion suggested we might like the family suite. This consisted of a double bedroom with bathroom and a connecting room with a single bed, though room for more beds. Everywhere was clean... More

Spent 2 nights in this hotel, Marion is a great hostess always full of life and made us very welcome. Les's home made bread and jams were superb. The room was very comfortable and clean. we would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.
