Spotless accommodation, Excellent Breakfast and Lisa and Christophe were superb. A little further out than we were expecting, would have been okay if weather was better. ( but can't control that) Would book again.

Visited with our Jack Russel terrier - Peggy. Peggy said that this was a 5 star pet friendly place. She loved the proximity to the beach and the walk to Cockington. The gardens are wonderful too. The breakfasts were the best that we can remember. Lisa and Christophe really make a big effort to ensure that folk are happy and...

Booked last minute for a cheeky weekend out of London. Arrived and welcomed by the lovely Lisa. Room was a good size for what we needed. Bed and pillows very comfy and had a great sleep. Breakfast was of a very high standard and poached eggs poached to perfection. A lovely quiet place with great hosts.

We had the top rooms at the Charterhouse and it was perfect for our family of 5. My husband and I had one room and the 3 kiddos were in the adjacent room. Just a 5 minute walk to explore the beach! Breakfast was superb and the owner couldn't have been more sweet and helpful! Definitely a must for a...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Charterhouse over Easter weekend. It was our first visit to Torquay. We absolutely loved the feel of the Charterhouse and Lisa and Christophe were very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the superior room, which had a stunning bay window with lovely views. The room was spotlessly clean, with all the facilities required...

The Charterhouse is a lovely family run hotel with a warm welcome. The hotel is located on a picturesque country lane just a short walk from the town centre that is positioned nicely between the sea and a wonderful woodland pathway that takes you to Cockington court and the beautiful thatched roofed cottages of Cockington village which I thoroughly recommend...

Lisa and Christophe as new owners of Charterhouse have got it spot on. Friendly, welcoming with the right balance of hospitality. Lovely location, 5 minutes to the sea, 20 minutes to the town. Cockington village a delight and lovely walk up by the stream. Sample the omelettes. Perfect, I'm looking forward to my lesson next time! Thank you for making...

Unfortunately only a two night stay, however, will certainly book again when in the area. The hosts were superb and made you feel at home, couldn't do enough to help. Definitely a place to go for enjoying
