From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and 'valued', Andrew (proprietor) gave the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. Room 3 was small but clean, cosy and modern, and surprisingly quiet, given how close to a main road it is. Breakfast was delicious, attentive waitress. Short, easy walk to town centre. Parking on... Had a couple of nights at this hotel and I must say Andrew the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Hotel super clean and comfortable and the bed in room 6 was a dream. Breakfast was very delicious and cooked to perfection. Lovely little bar area, one press of the bell and Andrew was there to serve... I only have... More

Warm friendly and clean , serving a very enjoyable breakfast. Andrew always polite and available. The sight may be over 130 years old, but Decor in rooms is as up to date with any modern rooms. All facilities in the room or available on request. Well worth considering if you are looking in the area.

Stayed here mid-October on a 4 day break. Received a warm welcome from the hosts and was given a nice front-facing room for ourselves and the dog. Nice, comfortable King-size with en-suite & Wi-Fi. Breakfasts were very good - plenty of options and very accommodating on requests. Hotel is just up the hill from the harbourside and once settled in,... More

Things we liked: Nice small hotel, really good breakfast, great choice and variation. Comfortable guest lounge and handy Wi Fi. The owners were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was small but lovely. Good location, short walk to the harbour. Things we didn't like: Our room had a king size bed, but the room was far too small for it. A... More

Excellent hotel. Rooms are clean and well equipped. I have walking difficulties and when they saw me arriving with a stick they immediately offered me a ground floor room to avoid climbing too many stairs. Breakfast fantastic and the best poached eggs i've ever had, told it was because they are true free range direct from the farm. Asked where... More
