Only stayed one night thank god. The room was tiny and the shower minuscule! It was a hot night the window did not open more than a crack the room was a sauna!!! I'm a tall chap and I couldn't even bend over to wash my feet in the shower a coffin would be bigger! Only saving grace was a... More

From my review title you can assume my family group of five had a lovely seven days at this beautifully restored Edwardian hotel, owned and run by Andrew and Angela Mead the perfect hosts. A warm welcome from Andrew on arrival, his son managed the stairs to our three rooms, with our heavy luggage. Rooms spotlessley clean, an immaculate shower... More

We recently stayed at the elegant Edwardian Robin Hill for 1 week with our 9 year old son and considerably older mother and father. When arriving it is worth noting that the car park is quite tight, but not many hotels in Torquay have the luxury of parking, certainly not those so close to the town (5 - 10 minute... More

Dear travellers I'm so pleased you were happy with your stay but would apologise that the service was a little slow on occasion. Happily the 'self-service' option seemed to sit well with you. As my wife says "It's so much easier to look after nice guests". We hope to see you all return. Very best wishes Andrew, Angela & Helen More

Just here for one night and will definitely stay again. Typical Torquay quest house. Didn't see any Wilderbeest (😉) but hey ho. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Our room was spacious and the bathroom lovely. Breakfast was quaint and absolutely fantastic. Old style patterned knives and forks, proper linen and freshly cooked English breakfast. Toast racks and smartly dressed waitress. Couldn't... More

Dear traveller Very many thanks for taking the time to add your comments and I will certainly pass on your praise regarding the breakfast service. Various people have pressed us to go 'Chrome, Glass and no carpets' in the breakfast room but we actually prefer to be a little 'old-fashioned' hoping that it will appeal those who appreciate that we... Andrew & Angela are perfect hosts and their lovingly restored Victorian hotel is a tribute to them both. It is still 'work in progress' but their attention to detail is the true marque of their dedication to this old building. Whilst, the general ambience is 'Colonial' our bathroom was state of the art modern, HD TV, full Wi-Fi and a... More

Dear Bob306 When you 'definitely call again' please call me directly and we can attempt to identify which room you had and give you the choice of either a repeat performance or trying something different. With one bathroom and one cloakroom still to do our plumbing works are not quite complete but 'we're getting there! Many thanks for taking the... More

Only spent a night here recently but a great place to stay. Location is excellent, a five minute walk to town. Parking on a steep drive but fine. Very friendly owners. Very clean room, had everything we needed. Rooms all modern and have been refurbished. Breakfast was delicious, good quality. Free wifi, and a bar/lounge with some seating outside too.... More

We will be very sorry to leave this place. We have been made to feel very welcome by Andrew and his family who have looked after us impeccably. Being on a budget we chose a standard room and although compact it had everything we needed for our week long stay-a comfy bed, plenty of storage and a shower/WC room, all... More

We've just had a fabulous stay at the robin hill hotel, we had a family room with an adjoining room for our teenaged son. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were wonderful and everyone was so friendly. A special thank you to the lovely lady serving us breakfast every morning. We would definitely recommend this hotel if your down... More

Dear Traveller Thank you so much for the complimentary review. I will certainly pass on your comments to my wife and both the girls who look after the room cleaning and the breakfast service. Sadly we only got to stay at Robin Hill for one night en route to elsewhere. We were very warmly greeted by Jack. Our room was lovely, very comfortable, huge bed, great shower, large towels! All immaculately clean! Breakfast was perfect and definitely set us up for the rest of the day. I wish all the family well with the... More
