We had a deluxe double room. The room and ensuite were fantastic and spacious. The restaurant was great too. The food is lovely. We had dinner and breakfast. It was a really relaxing break away for us for my birthday. The staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will visit again and recommend to friends.

Stayed at the Anchorage hotel for one night (Saturday night) and thought it was ok. Disappointed that parking was unavailable in the hotel grounds however was able to park on the road close by. Think they should change the wording on their website to same something like 'limited off-road parking' The room itself could do with updating, the loo roll...

We stayed at the Anchorage Hotel in March. Our room was on the ground floor by the exit. Workmen were arriving from 6.30 am each morning to replace windows. The curtains did not close completely and the net curtain was falling down. Room was small and quite shabby. Had to ask for the window to be opened as it was...

We booked this hotel using a voucher we received for a two night stay. Richard was polite, helpful and welcoming. Our room was very small and needed a bit of tlc but the bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. It did have a strange smell though, not sure if it was disinfectant or something but we...

First impressions of the hotel were really good, nicely decorated attractive grounds. Our room was on the second floor with no lift. Our room was small but clean with a comfortable double bed. After reading the reviews we were a bit hesitant about how the service would be and although they are very short staffed we waited for nothing. (...

Booked the Anchorage hotel for the weekend. Was a bit worried when reading reviews. But when we got there it looks a bit tatty from the outside. But when we got inside had lovely bar area and small restaurant. Reception asked was really friendly booked a twin room for my mum and dad which they were impressed with. We had...

The booking experience was great as Richard answered my queries via e-mail very promptly. Upon arrival we did not spot the car park at the side, but parked on the road which has ample free parking. From the outside the hotel looks very well maintained, with really nice gardens. We were greeted at reception by a guy who I think...

I was staying in Torquay for work reasons and I paid £20 for my room, I expected to be in a room that wasn't great but I was surprised. The room was quite lovely, good size bath (deep). The bed was comfy and I slept well. I did leave too early to have breakfast but they made sure fruit and...
