Visited the imperial with my best friend for a short break on their spring deal which included bed, breakfast, evening meal and a glass of bubbly. Unfortunately the hotel is very tired and in need of renovation, which we were informed now its under new ownership will take place. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the food was...

This hotel has fantastic views from the sea view side of the hotel and we always pay the extra for rooms with a balcony. However customer service levels are often poor, so be prepared to substantiate what you have paid for are entitled to in the event that something goes wrong.

We stayed here in May, and chose a king size sea fronted room - room 427, which had the most amazing views across the bay ever!! We loved it, they talk about the WOW factor, the view has this every second of the day! Absolutely loved it. We chose to have breakfast in our room to continue to enjoy the...

A very well run hotel with excellent staff, good quality food and very relaxed atmosphere. The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a magnificent suite due to it being our 41st wedding anniversary. Would well recommend a stay.

This is a stunning hotel The rooms are bright and airy, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay and it was stunning. Our room was very large too with lots of character. The hotel is a short walk from the main bay, shops and princess theatre. We looked around the beautiful gardens and came across the outside...

The hotel had a good location, and although it needs some redecorating, I would say it is in pretty good condition. The view from the room was just splendid. Breakfast was very basic but you can still feel full by the end of the meal. The receptionists were very friendly. I can't say the same thing about the waiters/waitresses. As...

Dear statuesEngland I am very sorry indeed to read that the breakfast was not up to our usual excellent standards, we are reviewing the events of the morning so that we can update our systems and procedures to prevent any reoccurrence.

The reason we no longer visit the Imperial has been set out by the previous post, it matters not one Jot to the Imperial what room they give you, you can book weeks in advance and ask for an upper floor room, only to arrive for an anticipated few days of a relaxing break to be given a room not...
