This was the first time we stayed at this hotel. We had a sea front room which had a lovely view. Slightly dated but good overall. My reason for marking the hotel down was due to management and staff issues. We had a nice welcome but due to computer issues we could not check in so was asked to go...

Loved our stay. Paid the extra for a sea view and balcony deluxe room. Well worth doing and glad we did. We were able to get a disabled space outside the door which was great. On arrival the manager told us disabled parking was free. But on leaving we were charged £14. And told by the girl on the desk...

Nice Hotel but time has taking its toll. Would stay again but some of the bar staff were quite snooty. Almost as if they were the paying guests and we'd gate crashed from a caravan site. Room was okay and breakfast was very good.

It's been twenty five years since the heyday of this hotel when it was the crown of the English Riviera. The crown has certainly slipped if not fallen off! Admittedly it's now longer a Trust House Forte hotel and the black tie for dinner has gone. The hotel has struggled to find its identity and hopefully it will find its...

My wife and I stayed at The Imperial at very short notice. The architecture is a delight, with links to Agatha Christie. Being out of season we got a room with a delightful view over the bay. The room was a reasonable size and was comfortable. We had a balcony area with reclining seats. Breakfast was a buffet with generous...

Dear Richard B Thank you for your review following your recent stay, we are delighted that the weather in the English Riviera lived up to its reputation and a far distance from the inclement weather experienced elsewhere in the UK. I have passed on your feedback to all of the team with my sincere thanks and look forward to being...

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. My first impression when we saw the outside of the hotel was that we had made a very large mistake, as the exterior is quite dirty and old looking. I was pleasantly surprised however when I entered the reception which was lovely and extravagant. We then went into the lounge area which had...

First impression on aproaching this hotel is dissapointing, but once in the reception area it all changes, a lovely hotel, very pleasant & helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. So good that we extended our stay for a further four nights. Short walk to the harbour / marina.

I booked two rooms for a break between Christmas and New Year as a gift for my family as I had been away on business so much of 2016 (note management team - I spend most of my life in hotels so I know what good looks like and what 150 quid a night can get you!) Good points -...

Absolutely loved this hotel which we visited for a new Year break. The entrance us overwhelming with the decor and chandelier. It was so good to see an historic hotel. We stayed at this hotel last weekend as part of a party from our home town.
