For two weeks during August 2014, I stayed at the hotel. On arrival a tray of tea and biscuits was produced. The staff were always friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was comfortable and everything in it worked properly. The choices available at breakfast were comprehensive: full English with all the variations, many cereals, fresh fruit juices, yoghurt, toast, a... More

3 of us stayed 4 nights... Excellent rooms. Gorgeous food. Hospitality second to none. Nothing too much trouble. Great value for money. Lovely, friendly owners. Left to come & go freely without being questioned regarding our plans, which personally we preferred. Many other B & B/hotel owners can be over friendly, which can be too much during or after breakfast... More

My wife and my self stayed in the hotel for the bank holiday weekend, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The location of the hotel is ideal for the town center, our room was lovely and clean fresh bedding, bathroom nice and clean, the best thing of all is the breakfast, yum yum. We... More

This is a place me and my family come back to time and time again, the owners are friendly, welcoming and down to earth. Great value for money with a delicious breakfast to your order every morning. Fantastic location from the town centre and the front harbour. Can't wait to come back again :) Tiffany&Co

From the moment I arrived Maz and Colin made me feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room overlooking the garden. The location is elevated but much of Torquay is and for me adds to its charm. There is a great deal of information supplied in the hotel and as I said earlier Maz and Colin are... More

My son and his carer stay at barclay court regularly as they like it so much. The hosts Maz and Colin are really nice and so accommodating. The rooms are well furnished and are spotlessly clean with comfortable beds with lovely bedding. For breakfast there is good variety of cereals yogurts and to follow you can a good full English... Lovely and homely. Nothing too much trouble - excellent service. Spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb. The beds are SO comfortable! Someone said the rooms were on the small side - it's only for sleeping so I can't see a problem - they weren't that small anyway! Plenty of drawer/wardrobe space. "A home from home".
