I agree with unseatedtonys review wholeheartedly. The food was very good, the service exceptional but the room (especially bathroom/toilet/shower) was the smallest I have ever been in. (room 15). Entertainment was acceptable. I must say other guests said their rooms were OK and they were satisfied with them. Overall I would recommend this hotel but ask to look at room...

Coach break...having stated Not wanting a top floor..we were given room 26 which we couldn't swing a cat round...the room overlooked a yard which didn't improve our view on our 1st impression...saying that food and entertainment was great..unlike the hot water in the afternoon...non existant.. The room was cold too... Won't be returning.

Just spent a four night break at The De La Mer with a booking by a local coach tour operator. The hotel is staffed by the most willing team you could ask for. Nothing too much trouble for them at meal times - no sooner a request for anything and it's sorted. The food was a little disappointing on variety...

Booked a double and single room, both were small but entirely adequate for our stay of one night and would definitely stay longer next time. Rooms were clean as was the rest of the hotel. Food was as good as any top restuarant and seconds were offered at our evening meal as well as at breakfast.

My husband and I have just returned from Babbacombe with Greenline staying at Del a Mare. The food staff an everything else was excellent compliments to the chef only downside was the rooms are small and the one we were in No 10 was not much light as we had the fire door down a small corridor and the window....

I feel very mean only awarding this hotel 3 stars because the staff, the food and the general service is excellent. The snag with this hotel is however the rooms. I stayed here in a single room and it was VERY small. The room did have a comfortable double bed in it and the T.V. was of good quality. The...

This family run business is a little gem. Well situated, unpretentious, it delivers. The staff were all long serving, which underlines their quality, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, and the entertainment of a very high standard. This is certainly a place to visit again.

Our first visit to Babbacombe. Lovely location, close to shops, buses, theatre, places of interest. Nice walk to oddicome where you can sit and look out to sea. The family and staff at the del a mar were very welcoming and friendly. They have a very good system of ordering and serving very good quality food, with extra's if you can...

Having stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, we guessed our latest visit would be just as enjoyable. We were correct, the welcome is super, the rooms are spotless and the food excellent. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Its home from home.
