I booked a room for me and my partner, to celebrate his birthday. I thought the room we had was big, clean and the view we had was amazing. I had a good night sleep. In the morning the staff was very friendly and helpful, we both had the cooked breakfast, it was worth the money. I am going to... More

I was dubious about staying at the hotel after reading some of the reviews however it was brilliant. It's a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. Sure, the rooms could do with a little updating but our room/flat was ace. I thought I had booked a family room but we also had a kitchen, lounge area, dining... More

The hotel is ideally located; close to the sea and lots of restaurants. Very unfriendly receptionist who, at first, did not told us where our rooms were. When he finally told us, he showed us the wrong way. Spacious rooms, however, they beg for some professional cleaning, especially the carpet. Full with stains. New furniture is a must; all of... The location of the hotel is good, walking distance from the beach and harbour. The room was quite spacious, but old and definitely needs a refurbishment and could be cleaner. The bathroom/shower was excellent though. Breakfast is just continental, and not many choices. Only an additional paid full breakfast is offered.

This was my first visit to Torquay and I couldn't of chosen a better hotel. From arrival, the welcome was friendly and efficient. I felt that nothing was too much trouble. I had room 24 on ground level and could not have asked for more, the room was spacious well furnished clean and a good size bathroom. Good supply of... More

Booked for 2 nights for work, only able to stay for 1 due to the really poor room that I had. Arrived after 8pm and unable to park at the hotel, luckily there is a big public car park next door. Then I had to negotiate the drunken revellers to get to the reception which is not manned. This was... More

I stayed one night in a large room, rather an apartment, with only one window. However, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice and clean. I slept as baby. The breakfast was very basic, however, the very nice lady at the bar cooked me a decent omelet for a symbolic charge.

On arrival I had to make my way to the bar area as there was no one manning reception at 3pm. I enquired at the pool and was informed there was a charge to use and could only be used at specific times and the hot tub was no longer in use, "as it's more trouble than what it's worth".... More
