We originally booked for 3 nights but after the first night extended our stay for 7 nights. The room we were given was perfect, very roomy and airy and spotlessly clean. The hosts work tirelessly and nothing is too much trouble, it is also the hottest breakfast I have ever had in a guest house. The local pubs and shops... More

We fancied one more night in Torquay, after staying in a different hotel, so we walked down the main road that leads into the town centre, and most of the b & b's were full, we came across Oscars lodge, knocked on the door, and thankfully there were vacancies, greeted by Carol and Henry who would bend over backwards to... Henry and Carol are wonderful hosts. The rooms are generously sized and are spotless. There's all the usual tea and coffee making facilities, the bed was lovely & comfy and there's plenty of space to put everything! Breakfast is top notch - excellent ingredients, all served with a smile :). The hotel is nicely situated for a stroll to the... More

Carol and Henry were brilliant hosts, they really saved my friends and I when we had to unexpectedly stay the night in Torquay. They went out of their way by warming up plates (late at night too) so we could bring food back to the b&b, prepared a great breakfast for us a lot earlier than they normally would and... More

Just returned from a two night stay at Oscars Lodge. We had a wonderful time. Our room was airy and spotlessly clean with all the facilities you need. Breakfast was great, piping hot with a great selection. Owners Henry and Carrol have recently taken over and have turned it into a superb B&B. They are the friendliest most attentive hosts... More

Very welcoming and friendly family run b&b, nothing is too much trouble, any reviews prior to june were from the previous owner and dont do this place any justice. Location is ideal, 5 minute walk in one direction to the town and 5 minute walk to the beech. Will be staying there again and will recommend to friends and family... More

We had a very pleasant stay at Oscars Lodge Guest House during our travel through Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Torbay and the Midlands - the owners newly renovated this place in May and have been extremely friendly and helpful. If we return to Torquay we would definitely go back again.
