This is our sixth year of visiting the Morningside and the only thing we can say is to read the five reviews we have already posted because the high standard of services has been maintained over all these years and everything we have written still applies. All we can add is all being well we will be back next year.

Stopped for a quick cup of tea after a trip on the cliff railway, just as it had started to rain. The staff were friendly and unintrusive, whilst the price was reasonable too Clean and tidy with a nice view towards the sea.

My family and I have been visiting The Morningside Hotel for roughly 10 years. We go here once a year no doubt and we also had my uncle's wake here and Jon-Paul and co have always been so helpful. The rooms are always so clean and tidy and the views are lovely, especially the rooms on the bottom floor.

Checking in took us 30 seconds. Nice clean rooms. One with a sea view. The family owned hotel was very relaxed and welcoming. Any needs with regards to drinks or assistance with our onward journey was handled instantly. If we return to Babbacombe, we know where to stay.

This was our first visit to the Morningside and we were very impressed. We had a sea view room which was very comfortable and had brilliant view overlooking the bay. Breakfast was excellent and we were surprised at the size of the tables, plenty of room for plates etc, makes a change from most other places who have cramped dining... More

I organised a 70th birthday party for my partner last weekend and we stayed for that night. We had a lovely large room with sea views. Comfortable beds and well furnished. The ensuite was part wet room and was very spacious. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the full English was delicious. I particularly want to mention the... More

Our first stay at this lovely hotel. Beautiful position with fantastic views, rooms really spacious and delightfully decorated, whole place has a really welcoming and homely feel and nothing is too much trouble for the owners Ann and Paul, they go out of their way to make your stay special and they are very down to earth and great to... We booked the facilities for a family funeral reception and 5 bedrooms for the same night. Having not had to make arrangements for these circumstances before they were made easier by the helpful and easy attitude of the owner, Jon-Paul. Nothing was too much trouble and advise was on hand to ease the process. The food was better than excellent... More
