A fantastic weekend. Terri & Bernard couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed in the Gothic Suite, very airy, the bed was so comfortable, loved the balcony. Breakfast was 1st class, the best we've had. Personal touches mean a lot. Thank you. We will definitely be booking again. Mandy & John

We stayed here for 4 nights last week. All the accommodation is presented as suites. It was like home from home. The Seaview suite at the top of the house has fantastic views across the bay to Brixham. There was a large choice for breakfast and the food was good. I would have no hesitation recommending the Ascot to anyone.

We stayed for a week at Ascot House. Bernard and Terri couldn't have been more hospitable. The room was very stylish and comfortable. Breakfasts were great with plenty of choice and delicious fresh fruit. Coffee was excellent! I'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel.

Your lovely review is much appreciated. It makes our efforts all the more worthwhile. We're glad you liked the coffee. We have found that, even on the best hotels, the coffee at breakfast is always so so. As a result, we invested into a Jura bean-to-cup coffee machine which, combined with great Arabica coffee beans, makes coffee to our standard....

We were in a deluxe room and it was the best suite of rooms I have stayed in while holidaying in England, much more than we had expected although having read reviews previous to our stay we shouldn't have been surprised. Bed was super comfy and we both slept very well. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the...

Many thanks indeed for your kind review. We're really glad our Deluxe Suite lived up to your expectations: although in our mid-price range, it has the largest bedroom and a bathroom with a roll-top bath and a separate shower. Thank you, too, for taking the trouble to write a review since, as you point out, many people will book only...

Having decided we needed time out and a few days away we booked Ascot House wanting a boutique style hotel. Bernard and Terri must be so proud of what they have achieved from decor, style and service perspectives. Super facilities, spotlessly clean, attention to the detail of small things making all the difference that we would usually expect in our...

The luxury Suite is our favourite. We try all our suites when things are quiet. Personally, it the large roll-top bath that does it for me! We really appreciate the fact that you notice our attention to detail since they are the things we appreciate ourselves when we stay in hotels and miss when they are not there.

We stayed here on business for one night and ended up booking a second night to do some sightseeing as it was so comfortable and in a great location. The rooms are beautifully furnished and staff very friendly. I can see why this is the most popular hotel here!

We really appreciated the fact you extended your stay to further experience our hotel as well as Torquay and its area. We very much hope you come back for the 5 day follow-up course with spot on/it's eeze. They are a great website design company and we are proud and pleased to be using them for our website.

Not just all you'd hope for but more. Excellent breakfast, super comfy bed, friendly, tasteful, a place that comes from the heart. Terri, one of the owners, was really helpful and accommodating. Our room was like a little home. We were in the sea view suite so had a lovely view of the sea! The breakfast was one of the...

Thank you so much for your comments: as far as we're concerned, if you found this was 'home from home' and your 9 year old boy didn't want to leave, we've achieved perfection!!! As regards our breakfast, we are proud of it and do it on the basis of what we would ideally want when staying in a hotel, so...

Where to start….. after a long day of travelling and getting in late, we were greeted by Terri and showed us in and brought us up to our room; top floor sea view suite. Large, spacious, large bathroom, two t.v.'s, living area, daybed, fridge. Although maybe a bit dated it all landed to the character of the room. (Don't forget...

Many thanks indeed for all your complimentary as well as candid comments about Ascot House Hotel, which we greatly appreciate. Our Sea View Suite is our most spacious and isolated (you have the whole top floor to yourself) so we hope the 2 flights of stairs to reach it are worth it. Lovely boutique hotel - fabulous welcome from Terri - nothing was too much trouble. Room was really spacious enabling us all to unpack our cases and still have floor space to walk. Great location - easy to walk down to the harbour - we shall be back!
