Lovely 2 day stay at the Elfordleigh Hotel. Very welcoming staff Sam and Debby, lovely dog friendly room with beautiful views. We visited the Spa making use of the steam room and pool again very helpful staff. Evening meal was excellent brilliantly served by Julienne. Will definitely stay again!xx
Me & the Mrs thought we’d get a quite getaway before the madness of Christmas crept up, so we decided to stay here as it was local and under showed by Boringdon hall hotel. What a mistake we made first of we got to the room and discovered that the bed sheets and pillow case had some kind of brown staining, were not the type of people to go out and seek issues with stuff but this was very noticeable, then as the wife Went to the toilet she also noticed a dirty toilet and bath with also some kind of brown staining. But we over looked these few issues and continued our stay. We went down to the bar had a few drinks and a meal, the meal was great by the way, then went back to our room for a quite evening or so we thought they had a party that was literally right underneath us so loud we could hardly hear the TV, so I went down to see if we could exchange rooms somewhere more quiet as that was the kinda stay we were looking for but that was not an option as all the other rooms where full so I said we’re going to leave and ask for a refund as we’ve only stayed for roughly 4 hours and 2 of them hours was down in the bar area. I paid £143 for the night including 2 breakfasts. My refund was £85 so I paid £58 for 2 bloody hours in the hotel. I was so disappointed in this stay and the service that they offered that we actually left and went back home. The only good point was the meal and drinks we had in the bar that we paid extra for. Next time I’ll pay the extra bucks and stay in boringdon hall hotel. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.…
We - a family of three plus a dog - had a long weekend here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the surroundings (golf course) picturesque and breakfast a real treat. The spa facilities made the stay particularly enjoyable. A great base, with Plymouth to one side and the coast to the other. We'd recommend Mothecombe and Wembury beaches, and the Brook Inn at old Plympton for an evening meal.
Stayed for one night after a brilliant wedding reception. We had a lovely clean bright room with tea and coffee facilities. Lovely full English breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Elfordleigh
This was a very mixed experience, the room was nice and big but there was no artwork on big blank walls which we found quite strange. The place probably could do with a bit of a refurb as it looked very 90s. The bar and restaurant area are nice and big and we enjoyed hanging out there. The bathroom could really do with a refurbishment as it was quite dated and the teacups in the room tasted like they have been washed with fabric conditioner. They were very chemical tasting. The big plus was the staff were amazing they were relaxed and friendly and the best part of the visit. Could do with some more interesting vegetarian options in the restaurant too.
