We had a double room and my daughter had a single occupancy, both were very clean and spacious. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional. Will definitely be coming back if we come to Plymouth again:)

Our second visit to The Edgcumbe guest house, certainly won't be the last. Maria made our stay perfect, with her local knowledge of restaurants, and places to visit. We went to the Aquarium, well worth a visit. There's a Turkish restaurant called Shirley Valentines, great food and plenty of it. ,

It's the attention to detail that sets this guest house apart from the others we have stayed at. Carla, the proprietor, has obviously invested a great deal of money in keeping 'Edgecumbe' to a very high standard. Beautiful room, fabulous breakfast, nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely visit again. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

Carla was lovely and friendly when we arrived. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Bathroom with toiletries and fluffy white towels. The shower could have had a bit more power but was easy to use. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of delicious food.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay. I'm delighted you found everything to be as it should and appreciated the fluffy white towels and the numerous complimentary toiletries which some guests say are better than many larger hotels offer. I hope to see you again when you come to Plymouth again.

I usually seek out hotels and guest houses that include a breakfast to get more for my money, but they’re usually not that great. This place does a fantastic breakfast. The staff are very polite and the location is ideal, right on the edge of Plymouth Hoe. Note that checkout is at 10am, which was fine for us so we...

Excellent breakfast, cleanliness, location and facilities. Accommodated extra breakfast for my son who is at Plymouth Uni. Only problem was size and softness of the double bed which was a little small for us. On our next stay will book larger room but will definitely be back.

Thank you for choosing to stay here for a second time. The room you booked is described as a small room. The bed is a standard 4'6" double with a pocket sprung mattress. Other rooms have king size and super king size beds. I'm delighted to hear that you found the breakfasts, cleanliness, location and facilities to be excellent. It...
