Langdon Court is an ideal couple location, in the countryside. Lots of nature around the hotel and plenty to see in the grounds. Pheasants, ducks down on the pond, birds, and the mooing cows in the field next door. Very well maintained (some scaffolding present at the time of visit, but hey ho maintenance has to happen!!) house keeping is... More

We stopped here for a family wedding and paid £170 for a deluxe room. The room was far from deluxe. Dried toothpaste on the tiles, hairs in the shower, no toilet roll holder, set of unfitted taps in the cupboard and no phone in the room. I've stayed in better travel lodges. Nice setting for wedding and excellent food. But... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights for my Niece's wedding, which was held outside in the hotel's grounds. The room was nice enough and a decent size for a 2 night stay. As the hotel is fairly old, the floorboards do creak a bit, both ours and the ones above, but not loud enough to be a real... More

I stayed here with a friend for an evening. Out first impressions were that it was stunning. Such a beautiful building and surroundings. Peaceful breathtaking views. This was shattered when we went to reception. I have no idea of who was on reception but both of us agreed we had not met such an unhelpful receptionist in a hotel In... More

This place has a great amount of elegance and charm about it situated in the secluded countryside on the edge of Plymouth. The property itself is beautiful with great decor and periodic features. The staff themselves were extremely friendly and welcoming and did everything in their ability to ensure my best friend's wedding went smoothly. They couldn't help enough and... More

I stayed at Langdon court for 2 nights as the Bridesmaid for a dear friends wedding. Where to begin...from driving down the driveway to sitting on the loo...everything was beautiful! Staff- From housekeeping to front of house all the staff were polite, smart and attentive....not to mention the efficiency and organisation or the wedding organiser. Food- Delicious, good portions, not... More

£27.62 for 4 drinks and a coffee, we couldn't believe it! Attending a close friends wedding reception this round of drinks was our first and last that evening. The Hog Roast Supper was served in a boring bap without any accompanying addition vegetables or salad and the vegetarian choices were inadequate. In their favour the staff were smart and obliging... As someone who travels extensively for business I like to try and stay in places that are a bit individual wherever possible. Langdon court is wonderful. Out of the way but only 20 mins drive to Plymouth city centre. The welcome in reception was warm and helpful. My room was amazing and I slept like a baby! The only tiny... More

We have stayed at Langdon Court on several occasions and as always we look forward to the visit. The Hotel has been in existence since 1684 with a most interesting history involving both Royalty and Nobility. It is located in a beautiful forested area, with magnificent walks, great birdlife and close to the ocean at Wembury. Despite its historic age, the... More
