A beautiful old hotel. We had a very large room, other places would call it a suite. Modern facilities, retaining old world charm. There is limited onsite parking at no cost which is a bonus. Location is good for CBD access.

I booked this hotel through TripAdvisor for my daughter's graduation. The cost of the rooms was very reasonable. We arrived early after a 4 hour road trip and had no problems checking in early. We were able to park in the carpark but that was due to us arriving early as the carpark is small and on a hill. The... More

I would always advise to avoid staying in a Hotel where you cannot trust the manager to honest with you! I stayed in room 511 and the shower simply did not work. Water pressure was so low there was only a trickle from the taps. I complained and the Manger looked all surprised and said he would look into it.... More

I booked 3 rooms each through a different booking agency, to get best deal for our family room requirements. I emailed Hotel to let them know of our family booking and was pleased to get prompt acknowledgements. I was delighted with the Hotel for meeting our needs. In particular the breakfast was excellent. We had a nice table for 6... More

We had a week in Cornwall staying at 2 other Hotels previous to this one. Not knowing what to expect from a large older Hotel. However, our greeting was very welcoming from the receptionist which is always a good start. I was a little apprehensive what kind of room to expect given the age of the Hotel. Well I can... More

Stayed for 3 nights with a group. I liked the olde worldly charm but can see a little bit of updating is needed. The rooms were adequate. The staff were lovely, helping us find amusements around the town. Only had the breakfast whilst there & certainly set me up for the day. All in all a lovely experience.

I was part of a group of ex WRNS who stayed here for 3 nights from September 9th. We were all treated very well during our stay. The bar staff were extremely accomodating. Our room was OK for what we needed but nothing too spectacular. We had a view of the car park. Our door cards wouldn't work on several... More

My wife and I were only staying for one night on the way to Cornwall. I would say that once upon a time this was a very high class hotel, the pity is it’s now well past it’s sell by date. The public areas are in good condition but the rooms were not maintained to the same standard, the sash... More
