When you spend a lot of time away, it's nice to get a local recommendation, rather than staying at a Premier Inn or Travelodge, again. This place is homely and very friendly, and I really liked it. I stayed in room 1, which is quite small and a bit musty, but it was clean and nicely decorated, looked out over... More

A late notice training course brings me to Plymouth, I found the Millstones on laterooms.com and it seemed the best value. One night in a single room at the back of the hotel brought a quite restful nights sleep. A nice quirky hotel which I will return to if I'm in Plymouth again. The manager was very helpful and welcoming... More

Great little hotel run by a lovely friendly lady. Clean and comfy with lots of public areas to relax larger than it looks from outside. Located on main road into Plymouth. I booked at short notice through a bookings site which can always be fraught but this was a nice surprise.

I stayed in this hotel in January 2016 in order to go to Plymouth Uni Open Day. It was a good hotel however it was not refurbished at all. The sheets felt and smelt musky and so did the walls. It is in desperate need of a refurbishment! The lady that greeted us was really kind and breakfast was amazing!... More

We stayed here on Saturday 11/6, whilst visiting the area, it's easy to find on the right hand side of the Tavistock road, shortly after passing the Toby Carvery at Roborough on your left heading out of Plymouth. The property is quite old (1910) but nice and clean and tidy. Dogs are accepted too. The room was clean and airy,... More

The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked, but the request to order the night before felt a little odd. As somewhere to sleep and use as a base it was perfect for what we wanted. However, the decor is dated and there are clearly issues that need addressing... More

We stayed for just one night in May as we were going to a party in Plymouth. We were greeted with a very friendly smile & shown to our room which had a four poster bed. Very very spacious & absolutely spotless. We just had time for a couple of quick drinks at the bar again wonderful service before the... More

Just enjoyed 2 enjoyable nights here. Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms nice and clean with plenty of storage etc. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best I've ever had on the road. Well located if you're looking to head out to Dartmoor, I'd thoroughly recommend it as a place for an good affordable stay.
