We arrived at about 6pm after a long drive from Kent. We were warmly welcomed & were able to have a meal even though we hadn't booked it in advance. The lamb shanks were delicious as were the accompanying vegetables. Our room was comfortable with a four poster bed, 2 chairs & a table, facilities for making tea, coffee &...

The Millstones Country Hotel was ideal for us being just a 5 minute drive away from the hospital. This is not a modern new hotel so my comments are within the context of an old style family run establishment. We had room 3. Very comfortable bed and 2 tub chairs by the window. (So few hotels provide somewhere to sit...

What a great value stay with fantastic personal service. Very friendly receptionist and lady in breakfast room. Exceptional breakfast serviced in lovely conservatory. The room was warm, clean with all we needed TV, tea/coffee making facilities, free wifi and car parking, ideal. Yes a bit of tlc is needed in way of decoration but all in all fantastic and would...

Stayed here on a business trip. Rooms were good, nice garden, comfy pillow and super friendly staff. A small bar you can spend some time in and many sitting areas were you can enjoy a chat after the dinner. Will definately pick this hotel over the hotel chains any day of the week..

The room was ok. Sometimes I think customers are expecting too much compare to what they paid for. If this is the price for this hotel so dont expect a 5* standard. Yes, the hotel need some refurbish but it is accpetable to what I paid. The breakfast is hot and fresh. Breakfast room is very bright and clean. Having...

The hotel was clean and pleasant, the staff were extremely helpful. Although the hotel is on a main road and our room faced the front, the double glazing reduced the noise. We were very pleased with the quality of the service and heartily recommend this hotel.

We stayed at millstones for 2 nights, the receptionist and manager were very friendly and could not do enough for us. The breakfast and evening meal which we had was very good and all home cooked! The hotel itself could do with a little tlc but hopefully the new owner will spend a little time and money where it's needed....

Stayed at millstones, after reading some of the reviews I totally disagree with some comments about the hotel. I stayed at the front downstairs twin room, had a lovely sleep , breakfast and the lady was lovely. The gardens were lovely and even had chickens. The previous ownership did not keep the hotel at it best but now its on...

I was in Plymouth for the weekend and from the minute I arrived to the minute I left I was well looked after by the excellent staff. As in the title it is a country hotel, small but very homely. The manager is very professional, my room was comfortable and spotless looking out onto the garden. Breakfast was served in...
