Great location for either a day in the city or a evening at the Barbican. Two lovely friendly hosts. And for the price you can not complain at all about the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. We will defiantly stay again. Thank you.

Booked family room for over night stay prior to ferry crossing. Greeted by the owner a lovely helpful gentleman, clean and tidy room, large enough for the 5 of us. Tea and coffee facilities plus Biccies!! WiFi was good. Didn't stay for breakfast due to crossing time. The only down side is the noise, we didn't read reviews prior to... More

I planned to stay 1 night at this Guest house, but when I arrived early afternoon: door closed, nobody to open, phone number not working. I tried the next 4 hours (19h30) and finally managed to see the owner who opened. Probably bad luck that the ring bell and the phone did not work at the same time, but I... More

This hotel is good for a 3 star, you have to realise what you are getting for your money. We paid £55 for a large room with an ensuite. The owners were friendly and gave me a permit for £2 which lasted all day until 10am the next morning. The decor is dated and everything is a little tired but... More

Very friendly owner who was helpful about local knowledge. This guest house is on the Hoe and 2 minutes from the Barbican. Also about 5 minutes into the main shopping centre. Our room was at the back and very quiet. There is a pub next door which is handy for a quick meal. No breakfast is offered but there is... More

This basic guest house is all you need for an overnight stay, comfy bed with very good quality bedding, no breakfast is offered which is ideal, no having to get up in case you miss it and the location of The George means there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Our room was clean, as was the tiny bathroom... More

We were very happy with the accomodation provided which overlooked the park opposite. We stayed in a very cosy, warm and clean room and the location was excellent, near the city centre and Barbican. The host was very polite and helpful.

Was unfortunate enough to book a room here, after being let down at the last minute by another guest house nearby. Very run down and dirty, wallpaper peeling of the walls, no heating working - in November! Had I been told this on booking I would have gone elsewhere, but it wasn't mentioned. Neither was I told the kitchen was... More

We stayed here as a last minute venue. Upon arrival it was a little chaotic trying to gain access but after a few minutes an apologetic proprietor answered the door... Entering the guesthouse was a pleasing clean smell (air freshner?). We were taken up to our room on the first floor which looked out onto The Hoe. Our room was... More
