I recently stayed at the Carhampton for 11 nights and can honestly say that I've never had better service. Francena went over and above any expectations and made my stay feel almost like home. Thank you Francena - Leon
Positives: So I checked in around 10pm as I was on a late coach as I had arranged with the hotel. The host was very welcoming and upgraded me to a double room for no extra charge. The host informed me that she had friends over and told me they would keep it down and to knock if there was an issue(there wasn't). The room was huge and on the ground floor (bonus cos no lugging suitcase upstairs). The room was super clean and very well presented. Check out was super easy and flexible and the area was mostly quiet considering it was a Saturday night. The snack selection was excellent, tea for both northerners (Yorkshire Tea) and southeners (PG tips), kitkat and biscuits were good too. Negatives:A bath would be nice. Not very near late night food places
Currently staying here for 3 nights. Florentina is an excellent manager and nothing is too much trouble to make my stay perfect. Large room.fresh and spotless. Tea/coffee snacks.fresh towels toiletries etc in the price.(Note No Breakfast)some sites I believe say its available which isn't the case. The bed is very comfortable. Large on-suite bathroom with amazing shower.15 minutes walk to railway station or into city centre.Take a cab from station £5.50/£6.Tip..don't let taxi driver try charge higher tariff on meter...I'm not daft as he thought I was...lol. You can use this place as a stepping stone into Cornwall Plymouth to truro £11.10 return very reasonable and trains every 20 mins. Not much in the way of local cafe or pubs etc.on a busy road in residential area but handy enough to get into Plymouth centre.I would use again. Could do with info book in rooms and definitely needs put up fire exit signage above all doors and corridors.…
I recently stayed here, the welcome was lovely. But The bed was very creaky even when you breath it would creak, so hardly slept. And very noisy outside The shower was very slow couldn’t wash my hair in there as have thick hair. Parking is bit of a pain as states there’s parking but have to move at 10am for an hour then you can return. Not far from the town cost £5 to get there, but also walked and was about a 10 minute walk. Ironing service available at request which was good, and came fully stocked with tea and coffee etc and biscuits and twix. The lady who works there is lovely though.
we were extremely happy with the accomadation we had chosen. The rooms were very spacious and clean. They were well equipped, and provided all essentials for morning tea and showering. Florentina was a lovely host. She was kind and very helpful. She provided us with a cot for our little girl and interacted with her well. We were given the down stairs room No.1 and loved it. We usually stay at the jurys inn, but are so happy we have found carhampton. We will Definately be staying with you again.
