We stayed in this hotel in 1980 on our honeymoon and it was so nice to return again. The room was beautifully decorated with a big comfortable bed and feather pillows. The views from the room were breath taking and you could relax in the bath and still see the sea. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. The... More

We booked early in the year as it was our Ruby wedding anniversary & wanted the same room as we honeymooned in , but we were given a different room! There was a wheelie bin in the car park over flowing with rubbish when we arrived, it was still there next day! this is what our room looked out on,... More

Kerinda, the owner gave us a very warm welcome and took us to room 3-a superior double bedded room -again with lovely sea/cliff views. All facilities were good-large comfortable bed.The meals were excellent-good menu, cooked well and well presented. Many of the other guests had stayed in... A present from our son, The Owner and staff were really friendly and helpful. Wonderful sea views and superb food. Would thoroughly recommend. A great place for couples wanting a peaceful break away from it all.

This hotel was recommended by work colleague who often visits. The hotel is well used but we found our room to be extremely comfortable. The bed was lovely and the views are amazing. Bathroom smart and soaps/shampoos supplied Downside - hardly any phone signal and couldn't access WiFi at all in the hotel.

I think first impressions are very important,on arrival at the Seawood the steps leading up to reception had rubbish bags and clutter to the right hand side of them weeds growing in front of them and old leaves blown up against them this had not just happened it wouldn't have taken much trouble to have the main entrance into the... We spent three nights here recently. It is an excellent small hotel and the staff are lovely. The breakfasts were top notch and freshly cooked to order. Service was fast. We had a very good dinner on the first night. Could not recommend it more highly. The property is attractively decorated. We noticed the guests ages ranged from young and... More

We booked this country house hotel at short notice after deciding not to go abroad - so glad we did as we had great weather and were even able to take the dog at no extra cost. I would have rated this hotel as "excellent" but for a couple of niggles - it was warm and the bed had a... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay that had charm and found it in this hotel. Decorated with flair the beautiful old building offers guests comfort, style and wonderful views over the channel. Staff were particularly engaging, creating a delightful ambience. We enjoyed all our meals which were delicious and cooked to order and found the roast lamb on the... More

We returned to this hotel having spent our honeymoon there 29 years ago in 1987. The hotel has been renovated tastefully but has still retained its unique character and stye. Located on the cliffs close to the Cliff Railway it is ideally placed to explore both Lynmouth and Lynton. It has changed owners but the service and the food was... More
