We booked a 'magnificant sea view' room at this hotel, where we stayed for a week. The view really was as described - a magnificent view of the cliffs of North Devon, the Bristol Channel and across to South Wales. The room was simply but elegantly furnished and the hotel has a pretty bar/lounge with french windows with sea views.... More

Sneaked a 2 night break here based on previous reviews and views etc. We certainly were not disappointed. Lovely warm welcome and all the team we met were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room (S) 14 & 15 were spacious, well furnished, clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we were not able to stay in one of their individual sea view... More

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Our plans for conversion to quality self catering apartments this winter, will allow us to open the building for 12 months of the year, instead of the current, shorter, Hotel season. We hope you will visit us again. regards Bill More

Reviews of the hotel are likely to mention location, views, convenience. The first two are amazing. Just believe. Convenience. Parking is close to the front door (wherever you are). Central Lynton is 50 yards away. The Cliff Railway is 150 yards away. Breakfast and dinner options at the hotel are good - but if you wanted a change you've got... More

Thank you for your review, which I thought very thorough. Since taking over the Hotel three years ago, we have been constantly renovating, and playing catch up, after approx. 40 years of neglect. We are pleased that this has been successful and that you enjoyed your stay. We are continuing the renovation, and this summer have transferred our attentions to... More

My wife and me were here for three nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay, except for the weather which Bill, the proprietor, unfortunately could not control. The accommodation on the ground floor (Room 4) has its own terrace providing direct access to the car park; exceptional if, like me, you are slightly disabled. Unloading and loading the car... More

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Room No. 4 is always popular with our Guests, young and old alike. The size of the bed always attracts favourable comment, and like all the beds in the Hotel, is hand made. We look forward to seeing you again. regards Bill More

This hotel is really excellent, the location and views are stunning and the staff are so helpful and attentive, far more so than in most hotels we have stayed in. The Bay View suite we were in was wonderful with comfy four poster bed and large windows overlooking the bay. Breakfast and Dinner were superb with plenty of choice from... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and were given a free upgrade to the Bay View suite which had stunning views and a four poster bed. It is ideally located in Lynton and close to some nice restaurants and cafes. The staff are friendly and helpful and the cooked breakfast is made to order with a wide choice.... More

Stayed here for 3 days to celebrate my husband's birthday. The views are superb, but that is just the start. Our room had the biggest and most comfortable bed you could wish for, the room had everything you would want, so nice to be able to sit by the window on nice comfy chairs and look out across the water...
