My partner and I stayed here for one night. The hotel is in a really convenient location just off the main road. The room was very clean and well presented. Jan was really helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent! Would definitely visit again.

We had such a fab weekend, this place is a Jewell and we were made so welcome by the owners Jan and Kevin, we will be back! The breakfast was amazing! The area is fantastic to explore Exmoor! We hadn't expected such a lovely location, the rooms were clean and well appointed! Having the Beggars Roost is the pub adjoining... More

We like to drive and just book in somewhere...must say this is one of the best we have ever found. Jan and Kevin could not have been nicer if they had tried. We got the last room available which was a delight to stay in....looked out to the front of the building into the Green. Built nearly 400 years ago... More

We have previously stayed in this hotel on a few occasions (as we regularly visit this area) and were then disappointed as the hotel was sad and dilapitated. This was taken over by new owners last year and we decided to try it again. The hotel refurbishment is very good. The decor is tasteful and the rooms are enhanced by... More

The best wrong turn we've made in ages. Pulled in just to turn round, and decided to have a drink and lunch and ended up staying in Jan and Kevin's terrific hotel. Their level of personal touch and commitments to ensure our stay was enjoyable exceeded our expectation, enhanced by their friendly staff and molly the sheep. the hotel rooms... More

Visited for a weekend with my husband, daughter, 10 week old granddaughter and dog and was so pleasantly surprised as we had read that the hotel hasn't been open for that long. We were welcomed by Jan who showed us to our stylish and comfy room. She had supplied a travel cot, a large double bed with a small single... More

Stayed next door at Channel View so nice to have a pub next door. Big plus dog friendly and only 200m from campsite. Staff are fantastic very personal experience. Having once lived in the area nice to see an establishment taken over and prospering. Did not eat but food looked very very good. Keep up the good work, couple of... More

We stayed at the hotel for two nights recently with a group of friends and were made extremely welcome. The rooms are warm, immaculate, spacious, but cosy and the beds wonderfully comfortable. The cooked breakfast was sumptuous and the owners Kevin and Jan very friendly and made us feel at home. Free WiFi is a plus and we particularly liked... More

Our first visit to the Manor Hotel and Beggars Roost Inn near to Lynton. the room was lovely, beautifully decorated including fascinating original artwork, done by the owner, Jan. An exceptionally comfortable super king sized bed and the bliss of a good hot shower then lovely soft towels to wrap yourself in. Thoughtful little touches like the range of good... More

The exmoor manor hotel was our home for 2 nights recently as we finished off our mini UK honeymoon. It's the first time we have visited this part of the country and it is truly stunning. The location of the hotel and attached Beggars Roost pub (see separate review of this fantastic place!) is great with access to beautiful country... More
