Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner and my dad. Our room was number 6. Lovely room with comfy bed and bath with shower over ensuite, looks recently refurbished. There was a lovely little space where you could sit at a small table by the window with stunning views overlooking Lynton. The room was on the top floor and some areas had low beams but that didn't detract away from how nice it was. My dad had a lovely room too, but it was on the first floor and the stairs were a problem for him. (no lifts, it's a Victorian house) Despite having to hear about the alleged problem with the stairs for 4 days, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Ness and Phil were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome! The food was great too! And if Ness is having an evening off from cooking there's several places to eat all within walking distance. We arrived as guests and felt like we left as friends! We are planning to go back and visit again soon, just the 2 of us! Stairs not a problem for us!

our second stay at Rockvale staying with Ness and Phil, perfect in every way. The food was delicious, Ness is great cook. The bar has a great selection of wine and beer, would have been rude not to have sampled it! Our room at the top was extremely comfortable, love the chocolates. We have stayed at Brambles with Ness and Phil on many occasions and hope to do the same here.

This was our first visit to Rockvale House, although we had stayed with Ness & Phil several times at their previous B&B in Salcombe. They continue to maintain the same high standards as always and are a lovely couple who exude great natural warmth and an eagerness to make your stay special. All in all, the perfect hosts. The B&B is perfectly located, being set back from the road through town but close to all the amenities and to the beautiful Lynton coastline. Another bonus is that the premises has plentiful parking. The rooms are spotless with great views and there are areas to relax downstairs, not least of which is the bar in the corner! The food is always fabulous and beautifully cooked by Ness, especially the breakfasts. And the provision of delicious home-cooked evening meals - plus the bar availability - means you don't really need to go out at all! We would confidently recommend Rockvale House to anyone and are already planning our next visit.

Last weekend I visited Lynton, staying at Rockvale House, it was nice to meet Ness and Phil, the owners, there hospitality was great, a spotlessly clean, place, and the food was fantastic. it was great to feel really at home, with nothing being to much trouble . I highly recommend staying there. Quote, !! I will be back.
