Hotel is in the heart of Lynmouth. Some parking adjacent. Really lovely cocktail barcarea with real fire. Ancient Mariner pub is connected and serves very good food. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 29 which was on the 1st floor not directly above the pub portion but we did experience excessive noise until nearly midnight on... More

Greeted by friendly staff, we arrived early but our room was ready. The room was a good size with views over the harbour. It was clean , tidy with tea and coffee facilities provided .The sink was in the main bedroom and not the bathroom but that didn't cause any great inconvenience. The hotel is of the Victorian era so... More

We booked a 2 night stay some time in advance and asked for a particular room because it had a triple aspect and overlooked the harbour. When we arrived we were shown to the other superior room which was very small and the bathroom smelled of damp. When we mentioned this to the receptionist we were immediately offered an alternative... More

Having the bathroom sink located in the bedroom makes you feel like you're staying in a cheap motel. And having the staff treat you with barely-concealed impatience doesn't add to the joy of staying there. If you're lucky enough to score a room relatively close to the front of the building, that's a good thing. Otherwise, the walk from some... More

The rooms really need updating, we were moved after complaining about the first one. In the next room the T V didn't work, However the meal in the bar was excellent. Sadly the packed lunch the next day left a lot to be desired, the sandwich with cheap ham and a bit of grated cheese wasn't even cut in half.... More

Our first visit to Lynmouth and we found the Bath hotel. Lovely old place, so quirky and full of character. Still family-run and a delight to stay in. We booked a double en-suite room - the room was large and the en-suite was delightful. The building itself, though old, is well kept - full of creaky floors and odd-shaped rooms!... More

On my first visit to Lynmouth my partner and I had a tea and a coffee at The Bath Hotel before heading home to West Wales on a motorcycle. The view was fantastic – but then it hit home – I could almost see home and it looked close; but I had another 4 hours of riding to get there!... More
