Very clean, very friendly worth every penny. Bedding very white, looks like brand new furniture as though they put the room together just for us. They accommodated a disabled lady and 2 children in a very spacious room although due to the period property there is a couple of steps into the hotel and that's the only negative I could think...

Neatly located on St David's Hill, a short walk from the centre of Exeter and a 15 minute (uphill) walk from St David's station. We received a warm welcome on arrival and at breakfast, which was extremely good. A choice of cereals and fruit followed by porridge/omelettes or any combination of full English. The bacon was lean and moist, sausage...

We stayed here over Christmas and quite frankly it couldn't have been better. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were made to feel welcome and were treated royally. So, to elaborate: we were allowed to park in the designated parking spot at no extra charge and our rooms were upgraded as we were the only guests...

This hotel had recently been taken over by the new owners when I visited. Check in was swift and easy and they gave me a little A4 map of Exeter to help. I had a preplanned itinerary already but this helped me get to grips with where everything was a little better. The room was spacious and there was fantastic...

I so wanted to give this place a great rating because the new owners seem very nice, but i have a few negatives to share. First the good. The owners offer a great breakfast. There is a bookshelf in the eating area with brochures and books about local interest. upon arrival i got a map and directions to various places...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry about the previous occupants dirty socks and pants being in the drawer. I found these after you had left and had words with the cleaner as all drawers need to be checked. I would have appreciated it if you had advised us there were items in the drawers and we could have...

I couldn't fault the place. Great hosts - very thoughtful (thanks so much for offering another room on account of me being so tall); delicious breakfast (locally sourced eggs, bacon and sausages); lovely room/decor and generally throughout as well. Incredible value compared to some of the places that I've stayed at. Thank you!

The Townhouse was a friendly, clean and pleasant place to stay. I had a nice big room, with high ceiling, period features and stripped board floors. Comfy bed, nice and warm without being too hot; sash window. Breakfast was perfectly ok - good friend/scrambled food and toast. The owners were really attentive, and clearly cared a lot about small details...

We stayed two nights. The breakfasts were good, The B&B is an easy walk from the Exeter St. David's train station and an easy walk from the Cathedral. I'd be happy to stay there again. The staff was always busy, so it's not one of those places where you get to talk to the locals for half an hour.

I recently stayed here for 2 nights. I was part of a tour visiting the SW of England and booked this B&B directly based on the great TA reviews. I wasn't disappointed! I received a very friendly greeting upon arrival and was shown to a lovely double ensuite. The room was very clean and appointed with everything needed for a...

Top two things first - great service and super clean. If you've got that down, everything else hardly matters at all. But it doesn't stop there with the Townhouse:) Their breakfast room is beautifully decorated! Which I appreciate. And the breakfast is big and super tasty, with a good selection of cereal, yoghurt and berries as well as the full...

Thank you for taking time to write this review. We are pleased you liked the service, decoration and thought the breakfast was big and super tasty. We are aware some of the en-suite bathrooms are not ideal, but as we are a Grade II listed building, it makes it difficult, if not impossible, to expand the size of the bathrooms....
