The Devon Hotel is praised for its value, offering quality food and amenities, although a minority perceive it as less economical. Guests typically enjoy clean, comfortable, and well-appointed rooms, but some express concerns about size and temperature. Its convenient location is a highlight, with easy highway access and nearby attractions. The hotel's atmosphere is considered warm, particularly festive for celebrations. Amenities garner positive remarks, despite occasional service hiccups. Noise can be an issue due to traffic and construction, yet the overall cleanliness and service are well-regarded.

This hotel is located just on the outskirts of Exeter, easy to find. We have stayed here before as the service and dining facilities are great. In fact the choice and quality of food is superb. The staff are very customer focused . This is our number one stop over when we are in the Exeter area.

We enjoyed a splendid meal on Friday with the Guild of Devonshire Ringers celebrating their 150th anniversary. Friendly, attentive staff and delicious food. The bar staff were a little overwhelmed to begin with, with a long wait for drinks but that was the only negative point to a very enjoyable evening.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary here and was overall very pleased, especially with the staff and service. Room was lovely though could have done without steps inside the room, though they were lit at night at press of button. Evening meal was nice albeit steak not so much. Breakfast was very good but was self-service.Treated extremely well by staff and other guests when wife fell ill. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped by for the carvery, was very average, beautiful looking building and well maintained, however the carvery was very “cost cutting” I’d have rather paid extra money for fresh vegetables and pink beef rather than grey…Turkey on a menu in March rings bells in Spring too…and gloopy gravy, someone take some gravy responsibly please! There’s enough staff standing around, sad as so much potential.

Not as large as I thought it would be, but quite comfortable. The building layout (like a grandstand) makes it a bit odd as you walk up or down a few steps into the room, and the ceiling is low at one end and high at the other. Nice comfortable room though. Reception is a little small but with friendly and helpful staff. The room was again a little small, but comfortable. There is a good section of teas/coffees etc., and otherwise everything you need. Wifi was quite easy to connect to and fast. There is a small fitness studio - I didn't use it so can't say more. Breakfast was excellent. Self-service and well set out. I regret not having more appetite. Loads of car parking. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner is a separate building. I didn't have dinner there - but the menu looked good so perhaps I should have. The location is perfect for the south side of Exeter - if working in the area again then this would be the first choice.

Great convenient location. The facilities and staff are all up to the usual Brend standards. Nice gym with interesting views of the busy roundabout. We would definitely stay again when we’re in the area.

Great place for a stop over. Bedding/bed could do with updating and little touches would improve the rooms to make it worth the money for more than one night. Breakfast - great selection. Staff on reception excellent very welcoming. Restaurant staff could be a bit more cheerier but they did provide excellent service also.
