We attended here for a wedding at the end of October and was blown away by wonderful service here. From the moment of stepping inside to checking out, the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they catered for anything that was asked from them. The hotel itself is very modern and the rooms were perfect. I was in l’occitane heaven!!! The food was lovely. Laura Petra and Joe were primarily looking after us and did an incredible job and also the lovely barman Jason who had just started that day. You won’t regret booking here as the staff give that extra touch to make your stay special.

I cannot speak highly enough of the guys at the hotel du vin. Due to Covid, we needed somewhere to host a small, intimate wedding breakfast on a Saturday afternoon at extremely short notice. What followed was an absolute miracle. They did more for us in terms of planning and advice in those two weeks than our actual wedding planner did for 6 months. The food was amazing, the rooms were just what was needed but what made it really special was the service. They could not do enough for us and made the entire weekend stress free during these stressful times. Laura, the reception manager was key to all of it and we cannot be more grateful. If you are staying in exeter, do not stay anywhere else but here.

Beautiful building which was once an eye hospital. One night stay in a studio room. Large freestanding bath, separate shower room with sink and separate toilet. Warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist Izzy. Izzy seamed to be everywhere from reception to car park duties and delivering items to guest rooms. Always a friendly greeting when meeting any staff member throughout our brief stay. Breakfast was organised in time slots ( booking slot taken upon arrival ) from 7.30 - 11.30 in hour time frames. Bar closes at 10pm but drinks can be ordered to be delivered to your room. We look forward to visiting again.

We stay at the Hotel du Vin in Exeter once a year for 3 nights. The hotel was as good as ever, despite very well managed Covid measures. Rooms are very good, lovely bathrooms and toiletries. A very decent bar / lounge area. Breakfast was very good and much improved on our experience last year - better quality, a very good selection and well presented. Staff were fantastic.

Yesterday was my first time using the spa retreat package since Covid. The customer service from spa and bistro staff was excellent as usual, and appreciated the way Covid precautions had been put in place. I also respect the pressure that Covid has put on businesses and took the lack of discount for the pool being closed in good grace. Likewise the lunch menu was not as impressive, but acknowledge that dishes are simpler to ensure social distancing in the kitchen. However I am upset by the heavy handed way that a "payment mix-up" has been handled, as I was called today to be accused of not paying. I have promptly emailed proof of payment, and very relucted to return.
