Stayed here for two nights as working in the area . Nice staff on check in , nice room . It was a lovely hot evening which was great for the short walk to the quay , great pubs and food unfortunately when back at the hotel my room was as hot as hell so the logical thing to do... More

We stayed here not expecting much as it was on the access road going into Exeter. But we were pleasantly surprised and had a very pleasant stay. It is clean and well managed. The breakfasts were the highlight which are in a bright and airy room. Highly recommended

If you are looking to venture into Exeter or travel into Devon / Cornwall then this hotel ticks all the boxes. Warm and friendly staff, clean and well kept rooms. Free parking, free wifi and free breakfast which was excellent. The price for the hotel was also very reasonable for August. The location is ideal for a short walk to... More

We originally planned 4 night stay but on arrival we were shown our room on top floor which was quite small and quite high up with steep stairs, however we were kindly given another room lower down, again quite small but the real problem was the lack of ventilation. the window opening out onto a main road which is very... My wife and I recently went to Sidmouth folk festival. We decided to visit Exeter for the day as we were in the area, it turned out to be the wettest day in recent weeks. So I suggested to my wife for us to stop over ( a night way from a damp tent ) a bit of a no... More

Overnight stay on way to north Cornwall. Roads into town crowded very busy, luckily parking available at hotel. Room ok, on top floor. We only had a small bag, it would have been impossible to get a heavy case up he stairs. The room was very stuffy but the traffic to noisy to leave window open all the time. A... More

Don't bother! Noisy, old fashioned, although staff friendly. Rooms were like boxes. This is not a hotel. No restaurant, no bar, nowhere to even hang your clothes! We hated every minute we had to stay. Nothing even close especially if it's pouring with rain!

The hotel is rather dated throughout. I stayed in a single room which was very tiny with a compact bathroom. The shower had very little pressure and shower gel with provided was in sachets, no expense spared there. The mattress was very soft and probably quite old. The hotel has WiFi but this didn't work for part of my stay.... More

Lovely warm welcoming helpful staff . Provided a fan in our rooms and gave us a map pointing out all the local attractions . Breakfast was good and the rooms spotless . Near to the town and Quey . The rooms are basic but adequate . No complaints at all .

Stayed here for two nights, thankfully. We've never slept on such a noisy, dilapidated mattress in our lives! Very uncomfortable and not in any way supportive. We were given one of the top floor attic type rooms at the back of the hotel mercifully, as we didn't suffer from the direct sun heat or noisy main road traffic. The room... More
