Went to the hotel for my 50th birthday party. Sue, the manager and the rest of the staff go out of there way to help in any way (balloons and happy 50th bunting around our table in the restaurant). Great hotel sue and the staff are very friendly and helpful ,the rooms are cosy and the beds very comfortable you've got great views from the back of the hotel,the evening meals are very good with plenty to choose from,good selection for breakfast could not ask for much more will definitely stay again

We needed bed and breakfast for two nights while attending a funeral in Exeter. We saw the Gypsy Hill Hotel on Trip Adviser and, remembering it from many years ago when I lived in Exeter, we booked for 17th and 18th October. A lovely old style hotel with brilliant staff who dealt with anything we needed and were very friendly....

Stayed here whilst working in Exeter found the hotel to be of a good standard with good quality rooms and great staff . Sue the manager was very polite and always very helpful .The food here is of a very high standard as well .A place I would definitely stay again

Stayed four nights from the 9 th of October the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful ,breakfast was excellent as were the evening meals definitely stay again if working in area it was a pleasant stay and the staff made it easier being away from home ..

Pleasant staff, very clean and comfortable room. Evening meal with large party was mostly a disaster! Those of us who had Salmon were pleased - as Salmon can be dry - but it was the best out of the rest of the menu served. The 'consomme' soup was uncooked potato in water. this was a very pleasant hotel, with friendly staff and free WiFi! the rooms were comfortable and kitted out the shower was excellent, although the head holder (and the towel rail) were a little loose dinner was good, but not great - quality ok, presentation ok, a little "standard hotel" for m e, maybe I didn't make the best choice...
