Stayed here to break our journey and had a great evening. The food was lovely, the room really comfortable with some nice touches , the shower was quite spacious and the staff all friendly and helpful. Really good value overall as so close to M5.

A great family dinner with friends here. Food was delicious and the staff were not fussed by the carnage created by 4 under 5s running around like bunny rabbits. Lots of space outside for the wee ones to burn off energy after a generous helping of ice cream.

Stayed here for one night to attend a nearby family function, very friendly staff, liked the feel of the pub, good food, enjoyed brekkie. Room adequate for our stay, clean and well stocked with tea and coffee, room looks tired in some places but overall can't fault for the money, would definitely stay here again when visiting family.

We booked a stay here as we needed a stop over en route to Cornwall. To be honest we weren't expecting much as it only cost £60 for the room but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all lovely, the room was clean and well equipped with quality furnishings. Although breakfast was an additional price we opted for scrambled... More

Just off the M5 the Blue Ball Inn is a well-priced place to stay to visit Exeter, Exmouth, or North Devon. Accommodation is basic, but comfortable. Comfortable bed, good showers. Have stayed a few times. The star is the inn itself. Great food, drink and service. From breakfast through to dinner. Fantastic alternative to Exeter Services. Book table for busy... More

Came here on Sunday for Father's Day. Packed out but still great service. It's the best roast have had in as long as I can remember. Defo coming back. Wonderful. My toddler loved his pasta meal too. And although staff were rushed off feet , they were still very attentive and friendly.

I spent a week eating out with my friend, so we've had many experiences. This far out weighs all of them and is top of the list every time. This evening was spent with 3 other friends. The food is impressive, delicious and carefully displayed. Service is faultless. Nothing was a problem, including moving a vase of lilies out of... More

Eat there often.Food great not expensive and staff friendly. On a rugby day you had better booked if it is lunch you are looking for. Fish and chips are the best in the county. Chips triple fried and fish battered lightly. Try the lamb also great. Decent car park and easy to get to and from.If you like fish this... More

Our second stop on the Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride. The rooms are excellent and the shower is superb after a long day's cycling. My wife who is vegetarian was raving about the vegetarian meal we ate in the pub that evening. Excellent service. Highly recommended

Went passed this pub and thought we would give it a go for an evening meal as it was not to far from where we were staying. The inside of the pub varies from 300 years old to 20 years old and you get to sit where you want. The beer was well kept and varied with both hand pumped... More
